You've gotta do the reading to have your question answered. It's a question I avoided having to answer when I taught AP World History because I started teaching about antisemitism centuries before WWII.

The fact it is growing in part because of Gaza just underlines the idiotic emotional appeal of it all. Some freaks are killing innocents half a world away and your *neighbors* are the problem? Are you capable of thinking anything through? How do you go through life with mental faculties like this?

Antisemitism, in addition to being responsible to some of the great crimes and humanitarian crises in modern history, is also just such a quintessential moron’s idea about how world systems operate. It is utterly offensive how stupid it all it is and yet it apparently explains everything to some.
