@mcuban.bsky.social can I send you an MVP for an idea I have? Not necessarily looking for funding or anything, moreso I want to convey my idea, the purpose to the right person, and get a "gut check" or feedback/direction if you find it interesting.

His Family Voted to Support Trump’s Deportation Plan. That Includes Him. His friends and family members in Rome, Ga., voted to support mass deportation. Now he’s scrambling to stay in the country.

“I’ve never felt like a foreigner until now.” His friends and family members in a Georgia town voted for Donald Trump in support of mass deportation. Now he is scrambling to stay in the country.

The other problem is spending $40 billion on a platform, then using it to promote a candidate doesn't count as a campaign donation.

Section 230 does a lot of good things, but it was intended in exchange for good faith moderation. In this case, they did take steps to moderate, could argue it could be faster, especially today with ai. I think the question is, is promoting it or intentionally bad algorithm 1st or 3rd party speech.

Trump would've done it either way. He pardoned Bannon after he created a border wall GoFundme and funneled the money to himself from his supporters. He pardoned his son-in-laws father. This didn't change anything.

How much of an effect do you think short-term rentals(ie VRBO/Airbnb) have on costs? There are tax benefits of Schedule E over C as well, which seems counter-productive to the housing market.

I like it. Climate change denial reminds me of the tobacco industry, where companies were aware of the health risks but publicly denied them and opposed regulations. BUT I'm not sure the 1998 Master Settlement Agreement was successful, so maybe solutions like this are the answer.

I disagree with getting away from legacy media, as a whole. Let's be real, podcasters aren't putting journalists in combat zones, they don't have a media presence around the world, they are commenting on known(and speculative) information. Maybe I'm overreacting, but this is a dangerous slope.

My concern, is that the Ukraine situation could weaken the case for non-proliferation and disarmament, especially in the eyes of countries like Iran.

In 2023, the US exported $2.7T and imported $3.5T in goods total. Those 3 combined make up 41.5% of exports and 45% of imports. What are we looking to leverage exactly? It's under the guise of border policy, economic warfare, but is it really? No matter the reason, the outcome would be a disaster.
