I've had a courtside view of how hard you've worked on this. I'm so proud of you for always going out of your way to do things you haven't done before. It's time to relax and celebrate your achievement. ๐ค

Siraj deserves every accolade coming his way. Having to bowl bowl 30 overs in the second innings of a fifth Test is absolutely inhumane. India have done admirably this series in spite of some atrocious team selection.
Yeah, Iโm no medical professional so I'd want someone with medical knowledge to weigh in on this. This was the best compromise I could think of.
This would prevent a scenario where a pure bowler is injured and replaced by a bowling all-rounder who then also bats at No. 6.
The replacement player has to bat at the position in which the injured player is listed on the team sheet at the toss.
And it goes without saying that the injury sub has to be like for like. This means that the player has to be the same type of bowler, so pace for pace, spin for spin, and also bat at the same position as the injured one.
However, I also think that there should be guardrails in place so that teams don't abuse this by drumming up fake injuries. So there has to be some sort of pre-agreed extent to which injuries are considered grave enough for the player to be replaced.
This opens up the debate of whether injury replacements should be allowed.
Here's my suggestion: Let the medical staff of both teams evaluate a player. If both teams' medical professionals come to a consensus that a player cannot continue, they are granted a replacement.
I never watched the greats like Marshall, Lillee, Hadlee, Imran and those before them. I missed the primes of Ambrose, Donald, Wasim, and Waqar. But I will forever consider myself lucky to have witnessed Jasprit Bumrah's entire career.
Hot take: The culture of fining anyone who criticises the umpires is outdated and needs to change. Umpires should absolutely be criticised if and when they make mistakes.
