The ridiculous thing is, I'd love to see this turn into more of a merger of television and gameplay. If games can be more about dramatic choices and less about navigation, I think the audience enjoyment would be much greater. We're finally seeing the barrier of entry low enough to pull this off imo.

Mario Wonder did an excellent job redefining the genre (layered surprise-based gameplay) and as much as I like the BotW format, I'd love to see the same for Zelda. Picture a game that was mostly about vibes and solving mysteries, not about direct avatar manipulation.

Oh and the video game model analogy - distillation improving regardless of hallucinations - is very good. Cautiously hopeful for what agents can do if we can ever solve the ethics of data sourcing and power consumption.
I really enjoyed this one. There was a little audio popping/echo(? I'm not an audio person so I'm not sure) so I wanted to reference Adobe Podcast if you hadn't heard of it already. Just a quick way to make audio recorded in any room sound a little cleaner.
Looking forward to more nuanced takes :)
Why do all the hit indie devs keep making games about being an insurance collector
It's got Myst/Fez/Witness energy, but I don't recognize any of these puzzles

And the result we want so badly. It makes me wonder how much of that applies to gym stuff too. To love the result so much that it pushes past the threshold that prevents momentum from starting - which I always find to be the hardest part.
This is interesting. I picked up the “make your bed every morning” motivation from that famous Texas Longhorns commencement speech - and the core there is that it’s an investment in future you, and how incredible it is at the end of the day to always come home to a made bed. Keeping the love in mind
Marketing is the one job everyone seems to think they are experts in, making it (and the people who do it) often feel devalued.
Please remember that marketing, just like programming, accounting, art, writing etc. is a specialized skill that requires years of work + experience to really get good at.
If you take away anything from this doc, please understand this: the ash all over LA is toxic to breathe and to touch.
I’m finding I’m not very productive when someone tells me I might catch on fire…

The most important thing you should know about immersive theater is that you should arrive 20 minutes early to figure out where the unmarked door is in the back alley behind a brick building that doesn’t look at all like it has the most expensive performance of your life inside.

A comic featuring my cartoonie versions of Dracula, Wolfman and Frankenstein! “Becoming Dracula Part 1 - Dear Drac” Panel 1 - A mailbox outside of a silhouetted haunted house in front of the full moon with the title above the mailbox. Panel 2 - Drac and Wolfman are on the couch watching TV. Drac: “Do you think we could be friends with Van Helsing(2004)?” Wolfman: “Maybe - he just became a werewolf so that could be my ‘in’” D: “Ya” Panel 3 - WM: “Is THE Dracula really like this? You ever met him?” D: “Yeah! It’s been forever, but he’s kinda like this-“ Panel 4 - Frankenstein walks by in the background D: “Super slick…all-powerful” Panel 5 - D: “commands an army of hotties” WM: “aaaay”
Panel 1 - D (to himself): “really smart…handsome” WM: “Hey Frank!” Panel 2 - WM: “Do you have lightning powers like the Frankenstein from Van Helsing(2004)?” Panel 3 - Frank: “Nah…” Panel 4 - F: “No” Panel 5 - F: “Drac you got a letter btw -“ Frank holds up a letter with a wax seal on the back Panel 6 - F:”Looks kinda fancy - or scary maybe” zoom in on the front of the letter which says “Drac” and nothing else on the front. It’s clearly dripping with something - blood?

Messing around on a pitch and a vertical slice. Excited that people keep lighting up when it's in their hands.
I see ten posts in my newsfeed and I can’t tell if that’s a visible limit or the contents of this entire website 🤔
