Just a thought: How about we stop shaming the poor for buying things that may not be essential, and start shaming the rich for making a profit off things that are essential?

I am always so mystified when other parents don’t go to the library. What do you…do with them??? Mine killed two hours there today, and then we came home with 10 books each that is going to buy me hours of peace. Why are you not quietmaxxing your parenthood lol
So glad to see someone so beautifully articulate what I think about almost every day….

I was just talking to a friend today about Dolly Parton's Imagination Library - new books every month, totally for free, for kids ages 1-5.
My son was part of the program - this is a copy of the letter that came with his last book, right after his 5th birthday.

Great analysis, 100% agree. So many lost opportunities from our collective Covid response, the many inquiries etc... have insights, however the age old CW vs S/T vs fear mongering stifles good outcomes. 6 yrs on, is there a central repository of data to inform public health responses? I fear not...

Honestly, I think the US became a failed state when they decided guns were more important than their own children and we’re just watching the end.
My friend Jason, an actual war hero rather than the tiny dick cosplay fuckwits racing us towards Armageddon, guests at my column this week. It’s a day early to avoid ruining the chocolate festival.
