if you havent been following the chronicles of my wacom dying on tumblr i decided to buy myself a 2017 intuos pro (found one for $80 on ebay..!) and it finally arrived. insane quality improvement and i couldnt be happier
basically as an artist you should be cultivating a flaming passion within you that feels so powerful it might eat you alive if you even stop drawing. thats what makes good art!
dont try to appeal to random unknowable audiences for the purpose of making it big or making money. make art for yourself and it will always mean more. make art for yourself and your people will find you.
as with anything, some people are naturally talented when it comes to art/illustration but i think what separates a "great" artist from a "good" artist will always be passion.
you can have all the skill in the world and your art will still mean nothing at all unless it means something to YOU.
