This was the Village of Bear Creek trail in Euless. We were going to do a group ride in Denton, but opted for this instead.

A POV view from a bike on a compacted gravel path running along a wooden fence to the left. Trees and blue skies in the background.
A long bridge/elevated multi-use path cutting through trees. Blue skies beyond.
A field of grass with trees in the distance. A gravel path cuts through the back end. Blue skies above.
A green/lichen Trek Domane AL5 Get 4 leaning against a white 2013 Toyota Corolla. The bike isn't dirty, but it's also not clean.
Yesterday was a dang nice day for a bike ride.
(But then, even cold and rainy days are good days for a bike ride. [Hell, there may be a day when I say even hot and sunny days are good days for a bike ride, but probably not anytime soon!])
Fargo or Barton Fink.
In addition to the link to the @bywilliamjmeyer.com video I shared, there's also this: ko-fi.com/bywilliamjme...
William's a Midwesterner, and I know how hard it is to ask for help. If you're in the LA area and in need of motion graphics, editing, or writing, he's a snazzy guy!
The mighty @bywilliamjmeyer.com creates promo videos about all he does that always floors me. I'm like, "Eh...audio and text," with my stuff, and he's dropping movie-level trailers! youtu.be/V6XTEU9lSM4?...

Our two sponsor animals at The Farm Micro Sanctuary: Arlo Goathrie and Ethel ❤️

An older brown goat with long hair sits on a yard chair in the grass. Her eyes are closed as she begins dozing off in the sun.

Farm Sanctuary's turkey adoption program for Thanksgiving made that first year of going vegan feel special. And, of course, thank YOU (and Lore and others) for taking such good care of our sponsor animals (and all the others). ❤️
The mighty Jessica Wallace of @thefarmms.bsky.social was featured on NPR's All Things Considered yesterday. It's a spot about Global Sanctuary Day. The Farm Micro Sanctuary is a wonderful small farmed animal sanctuary in Indiana.

This is a dance off. If you see this, repost a dance.
(Although it's futile because this is the pinnacle of human movement!)

Christopher Gronlund, holding a banana like a pistol, stands with a green Trek Domane bicycle. He wears a black cycling helmet and a blue t-shirt with yellow lettering reading, "No Challenge Too Mighty - Interabang Books. Dallas, Texas." Autumn leaves are scattered on the pavement behind him. Sunlight hits the trees turning color beyond.
For perspective, I'm 6'4" and weigh 310 pounds.
This is a great book festival. If you're anywhere in Missouri, it's worth the trip. (I made the trek from Texas once.)
On year ago today, I started cardiac rehab after a decades-long heart issue was finally found and fixed. I looked at Garmin stats from that first session and an exercise that brought me to 141 beats per minute. Did the same thing today and...84 bpm.
It's still so surreal...
That’s just…dang! That’s a good, creepy tale.
An armadillos roots for grubs through leaves.
A country road winds through green trees beneath a blue sky full of fluffy clouds.
A green meadow with green trees beneath a blue sky full of fluffy clouds.
A cross section of onigirazu. Sushi rice, cilantro, kimchi, vegan “Spam,” vegan cheese, pickle, and avocado. Ridiculous, but good!
The spring writing retreat begins with nice weather and armadillos. (Oh, and onigirazu for dinner.)
I've heard someone say, "I got a big SUV for my wife so she's okay when she gets in an accident."
Soooooooooo much wrong in one statement...

But they were safe, right?! 😂
Smarter, and more comfortable, than many humans I’ve known ❤️
The "somewhere safe" abyss is a curse and blessing. I WILL eventually find the thing, and it's always safe, but so many times, it's lost when I most need it.
It's a time consuming process to get it to not stick. Or...you have to know the magic of certain surfaces and temperatures, which I've still not figured out in almost 30 years!

Here's a commercial that exists... 😳

Right there with ya!
In 8th grade, we had to pass a Constitution test to graduate. I asked my teacher, "What if one side decided to ignore checks and balances."
My teacher: "That can never happen..."
Meanwhile, a likely pedophile president says he's willing to murder 90 million people, and no one is stopping him.

Never too early to sign up for notification for when this Kickstarter goes live. I look forward to backing (and reading) the final book in the trilogy.
