Just released BunBunBundle, a zero-dependency bundler for #Ruby apps based on... #Bun. Works with #Rails, #Hanami, or any other rack-based app.

You hit the nail on the head!

I've also been using DDG for years and had Kagi on y radar for a while. I was hesitant about the subscription fee but yesterday I paid it for the first time and it really is something else. The search results feel more accurate and well presented.

Bun is nice too btw. It's fast and gets out of the way. On a Crystal project I recently replaced an NPM/Vite setup with pure Bun for everything, including CSS HMR, and it works beautifully. I'm thinking about doing the same for our Rails projects.

You're not alone! My partner sold his iPhone because of it, and bought a refurbished older one instead.

The increasing number of LLM Bots (aka "AI Agents") creating PRs on GitHub is worrying. They are taking away time from open-source maintainers who are already time-strapped.

But what's the best strategy to fight them? Block and report? Or demand endlessly complex tweaks to exhaust their resources?

Engaging in mental gymnastics to justify what's convenient but unevidenced, unjust but personally beneficial, 'rewires your neural map' in ways that degrade your overall ability to understand and analyze the world around you, which is a precondition for intelligence and creativity.

the new (beta) @penpot.app renderer is such a huge improvement. snappier in a 100-tab browser window from hell than the Figma desktop app with a single file open. i know i keep saying this but if you design for the web and you haven't tried penpot you owe it to yourself to give it a whirl.

You can fundamentally rewire your brain to properly understand CSS layout... for $34.50. Can’t say fairer than that! One day left.

Every Layout is a reference I use daily. Complete CSS was a great level-up. Mindful Design is priceless.

Andy's work, and by extension the Piccalilli team, delivers knowledge that will be with you for the rest of your life, not just until the next framework appears. I can't recommend it enough.

spending over a decade getting pretty good at doing "generative things" only to land in the decade of generative slop is ... not ideal

Same! It pushed me into doing more with my hands again lately, so maybe that's a good thing?

Yeah, triple checked because I couldn't believe it at first.

They offered a reduced price of €37 but honestly we don't actually need the Adobe products. We also have licences for the full Affinity 2 suite. Keeping the Adobe subscription was just for convenience.

Just in from #Adobe:

“Your Creative Cloud Pro subscription will increase from €29.99 to €65.54 starting next month.”

Just so they can push more AI crap on us I suppose? That's insane! Happy to finally pull the plug there.

Right? Curious about the price though.

You've been a guiding light of simplicity in the often convoluted world of frontend development. Can't wait to see what the next 7 years will bring!

Have a look a Curve Pay. Works on my /e/OS Faiphone.

Built with CUBE CSS, Every Layout and stuff learned in Complete CSS. It’s of course, lightning fast and the UI works with the browser.

I love to see it.

Thank you Jason! We feel it's necessary to build a safe space. So many artists close to us (including ourselves) struggle with their online presence.

For the past months I've been working on @fluck.site and finally I have something to show for it. Fluck is going to be open sourced in 2026.

Just released Rosetta v1.0.0, an #i18n shard for #CrystalLang, about four years after its inception. Aside from a some QoL improvements it now also supports key nesting, a feature that was on the wishlist for a very long time.
