He had a good 7/10ths of the pillow last night and kept putting his cone of shame right on top of my head. (Lol, autocorrect wanted to turn shame into Shane)

He's doing so much better! After the first surgery he wouldn't come out from under the bed for three days.

I've been very sad bc my poor kitty Aaron Purt had been going *through* it -- surgery to remove his bad eye, then infections in the incision which meant another procedure, a drain and a cone -- but he is finally sitting on me again & last night went back to sleeping on my head so that's a good sign.

I'm hyperventilating.

My spouse is lying on the floor hand-feeding treats to our cat, who had eye surgery yesterday and hasn't come out from under the bed since. No cat tax cause it's dark under there & also his eye socket is pretty gross.

The 28th Virginia battle flag is a Confederate battle flag that belonged to the 28th Virginia Infantry Regiment. Captured by the 1st Minnesota Infantry Regiment at the Battle of Gettysburg, the flag was brought to Minnesota and exhibited at the state's capitol for several years before passing into the permanent collection of the Minnesota Historical Society after 1896 where it has remained since.
