Maine Governor Janet Mills, candidate for U.S. Senate, held a joint press conference with Planned Parenthood Action Fund, which endorsed her candidacy earlier this week.
This is leadership.

So much false equivalence in media on gerrymandering in Texas vs California & Virginia. California and Virginia maps approved by the voters. That's a huge difference not enough people pointing out
The implicit media consensus is that urban voters should not be able to overrule rural voters, but that rural voters should be able to overrule urban voters, an assumption so axiomatic and unquestionable that nobody even understands they're making it.

A new $50 million lawsuit alleges that Cuyahoga County jail staff deprived Jennifer Wade of health care, left her naked and motionless on the floor of her cell for a day, and attempted to cover-up evidence of her death by withholding video footage from state inspectors.

Texas republicans illegally gerrymandered their maps and never once asked voters how they feel about it.
California and Virginia let voters decide.
That’s the difference. They started this fight and Democrats are going to fucking finish it.
Texas redistricts without a vote, Republicans cheer.
Dems in Virginia respond by putting it UP FOR A VOTE OF THE PEOPLE, it passes, Republican cry foul.
Oh well. Good job Virginia!!
I built a 30 year career here in New York. I've taken Trump to court and won. I've founded organizations to defeat MAGA Republicans.
Now I'm running for Congress to continue the fight against Trump, on your behalf.

A group of NASA veterans came together to launch a new nonprofit organization aimed at defending Americans’ constitutional rights.
A reminder while Republicans bitch about Dems finishing the redistricting fight they started: they have full control of gov’t— they can pass a law banning gerrymandering any time they want. They won’t. Republicans aren’t mad gerrymandering exists; they’re mad that they’re not the only ones using it.
The civil rights group has long been a target for conservative activists, who object to its characterisations.

Jared Kushner, Trump’s son-in-law, is shaping US foreign policy while simultaneously soliciting billions from the same foreign governments he’s negotiating with.
It’s open, naked, brazen corruption.
Kushner will come under oath and testify & accountability will not stop there.

A New Jersey data center will reportedly receive $77 million in tax breaks — while only creating one permanent job.
One job, in exchange for higher utility bills, noise pollution, and potential groundwater pollution.
Is it any wonder communities are organizing to stop data centers?

Notably, the dissent here is from the one Dem appointee on the panel, Mathis. He would have tossed the case on standing and did not even discuss the merits.
Two Republican appointees — Kethledge, joined by Siler — found standing and upheld the ban.
Will be interesting to see how long #FL20 remains open following Cherfilus-McCormick’s resignation — when former Rep. Alcee Hastings died in April 2021, the special general to replace him wasn’t until January 2022, leaving the seat without representation for nearly 9 months
This sounds like an absolutely unreal case to bring, Blanche couldn't give a coherent justification for it, and we know how Patel felt about the SPLC.
More to come once I get the indictment.
