So we’re taking legal action.

How someone feels about Irish Travellers is usually a good barometer of how far you're likely to get with them on other social justice issues. One of the most maligned and least equal groups in our society.

Unfortunately as the first election manifestos have been unveiled it has not been positive news for our campaign.

After the Family Party - The Scottish Labour Party manifesto is clearly hostile to our existence in public life and society, with segregationist policy announced even to "everyday life"

REMINDER: if you are parent to more than 2 children, they are now entitled to the child element of Universal Credit.

The two-child limit has been scrapped.

1 week ago 1 2 0 0

Today the two-child limit is gone. Parents have told us what this will mean for their kids:

- A first-ever birthday party for a 10-year-old
- Better quality food
- Clothes that aren't completely worn out
- Going on the school trip without getting into debt
- A new mattress
- Swimming lessons

Illustration of people looking at balloons and a sign saying 450,000 children lifted out of poverty.

Today is a good day for children!

450,000 will be lifted out of poverty thanks to the end of the two-child limit.

We're celebrating this along with 17 other orgs with an advert in The Times.

The advert has been funded by hundreds of small donations from people supporting @38degrees.bsky.social.

Uneven Paths (February 2026) A publication from The Traveller Movement

The Traveller Movement has published a new paper on the deep socio-economic inequalities faced by women and girls from Romani (Gypsy), Roma and Irish Traveller communities across the UK.

These are two groups who’s everyday rights are at a heightened risk.

We’re supporting collective action to drive change: meet our new partners | Just Fair Across the UK, people are working to build communities where everyone can rely on the basics: a safe home, enough to eat, and support when it’s needed. These aren’t abstract ideals – they’re the foundations of a good life. Yet too often, the systems meant to provide them fall short. That’s why collective action matters. […]

🌟 We’re working with an inspiring group of organisations using human rights to drive real change.

Together we’re building practical, rights-based solutions that put dignity, participation and accountability at the centre.

This is what collective power looks like.

Excerpt from the piece:

"Neither the festival itself or its key sponsor, Pepsi, have, at the time of writing, bothered to respond at all to inquiries from the paper I work for. The questions we asked them were as follows:

- Did you at any point consider whether it was a good idea to invite a rapper who has repeatedly engaged in antisemitic and Neo-Nazi behaviour – most lately less than a year ago – to headline your festival?

- Do you understand that there is a significant chance that West may engage in antisemitic and/or Nazi remarks before an audience of tens of thousands of people, at our festival?

- Do you have anything to say to the tens of thousands of Jewish people living in London – many of whom live quite close to Finsbury Park?

Given the circumstances in question, it seems like the least that Wireless could do is have some sort of plan in place to mitigate the risk that West might use the (literal) platform at their festival, underneath their logos and branding, to engage in the same behaviour he has repeatedly exhibited in the past. Will there be a psych evaluation beforehand? Will there be medical officers backstage? Is there a plan to immediately cut the microphones and the electrics if he starts to engage in awful behaviour? Given the circumstances, planning for this seems like the absolute least that a responsible festival should be doing. But we have received no reply whatsoever. Whether that is due to incompetence, panic or something else, we can only speculate."

We brought together The Shift, PPR, Community Plan for Holloway, Public Interest Law Centre and the Castlemilk Housing & Human Rights Lived Experience Board.

We discussed housing justice and how to close the gap between rights in theory and reality.

Change happens when we act together.

A Telegraph headline that reads "There's a reason young people like me hate the NHS", by Joanna Marchong

The reason Joanna Marchong hates the NHS is that she's paid to do so by the right-wing Adam Smith Institute, which lobbies on behalf of the private healthcare industry.
