Hey so, my post was for authors. I'd love to be able to make a post about my writing journey without people pushing services at me. I'm not looking for an editor as I've already hired two.

Mostly line edits at this point...axing as many crutch words as possible while polishing any awkward sentences. There's been a few rewritten scenes and chapters. The story has changed quite a bit since I started.

Fellow authors/writers, how long does it take YOU to complete your first round of edits before sending your manuscript to alpha or beta readers? I am on month 4 and not even half way through. I fear my perfectionism is getting the best of me 😅

AI will never replace editors as AI can't understand what it is to be human. Sure, you might be able to fix some typos and grammatical errors, but a developmental edit? Feedback on whether your characters are relatable and if your arcs are impactful? Only a human can tell you that.

It finally happened! Tonight I finished the book I've been working on for 3 years! One year of plotting/world-building/consulting followed by just over 2 years of writing. This story contains so many pieces of my soul, I've never been so attached or committed to a project before. #writingcommunity
