This is why no one should look at museum boards as a model.

NYTimes headline framing progressive policies as "anti-rich" and suggesting it's reached its apex. This would be wrong.
Apex? lol.
“Noah Davis” at the Philadelphia Museum of Art (or whatever they’re calling it now—they’re the HBO Max of museums) is essential viewing. It’s also really troubling. My take here:

NYTimes screenshot of Mayor Mamdani and wife Rama Duwaji from an article about their tax return above a wonderful headline saying he's skipping the Met Gala, an annual noxious melange of the worst excesses of art, fashion, and celebrity.
Thank you @mayor.nyc.gov
It tastes like Monet's water lilies with notes of money and brand deals.
I skipped the Times framing and went to the source www.ipsos.com/sites/defaul...
only 24% of respondents think it's worthwhile. 22% are "not sure" (oof, but perhaps accurate since there haven't been many reasons stated for the war in the first place).
The 22% "not sure" is not reassuring. Anyway, I am now better informed.
I didn't get past the headline, and that makes me part of the problem.
Alarming NYTimes headline about the 49% of Americans who see some form of utility in the US-Israeli war on Iran.
The fact that 49% of Americans think it's worthwhile is alarming. As if I needed more confirmation of the depth of the problems here.
It would seem the opposite of collective organizing is starting a podcast/substack. The demands of organizing (and progressive democratic practices are often too much for people who want an audience). #Onetomany
Images of western art in the NYTimes that are of interest to their conservative cultural critic.
The rest of UK society must be crumbling into the sea.
It may be a little “inside baseball,” but there’s currently a discussion happening about how New York’s affordability crisis is impacting not just artists but the art they make. I weighed in, for @hyperallergic.com

I also choose New York, and I won't be asking for any set asides for artists. Artists need to advocate for affordability along with everyone else struggling to survive here.
An absolutely mind boggling news alert reads, "The Hunt. Two California transplants tested their $375,000 budget for a house in the Hudson Valley. Here's what they found."
Not everything needs a news alert.
NYTimes: But what about the missing airman? The one person who might give Iran leverage over their aggressor.
There are about six people I care to follow on this site who still post somewhat regularly.
The top three @nytimes.com articles are about one missing person in a conflict that has killed thousands of other individuals. #AmericanExceptionalism
It's ignore the Internet day.
I cannot unhear the phrase "Zoolander-like messiah" used to describe incel looksmaxxing idols. I'd be okay if we turned off the internet now.

Screenshot of a New York Times headline about wealth inequality and the inability to do anything about it.
Begging for scraps.
You assholes.
Block of text from a NYTimes article by David French, who recently discovered wealth inequality and its effects on society.
The reality warping effects of a society built around the wealthy.
Hari being menaced by a large inflatable rat
I’m here with Scabantha the inflatable rat on day 2 of the NYU contract faculty strike. Lots of noise, lots of pressure on the administration to make a deal
Well, @wnyc sounds like an organization auditioning to get their federal funding back from this administration. "Let's get a counterargument from a publication no one has ever heard of."
