Just working on some kits going to Venus Envy, Cape and Cowl and Makers Studio at the end of the month. Get your kits to make your own iron on pronoun patches so you can be ready in time for Pride month!
The upside to that is you're not going to accidentally strike the metal! I did that and broke a needle once. Scared the heck out of me. π
Yes, I do! Trying to get better with uploading here. :p
Just a little progression through the leather pride flag!
I feel like this doesn't always get mentioned, but when I'm pulling the shuttle thread tight, I make sure to slack my index finger on the hand holding the circle of thread. That allows for the slack needed to flip the knot.

Ooof, mine, too. It's a tough time
Tunisian crochet did it to me. π
And yet, as a Canadian, I would *specify* North American if I used the term American, but I'd more likely say Canadian. You'd look cooler if you just specified when you know. Know better, do better. π€·πΎ
No, if the name of the actual nation is known, you use it. Would you call someone from Germany just European if you knew they were German?
Also Google the author and what else they've done. I saw someone point out once that they could also only find one picture of the author no matter where they found it.
No options for gift purchases or anything? That sucks so many got spoiled.
@sparrowspite.com does some really cool pieces. You might find something you like or at least get ideas on what you can do with it that isn't wearing the piece.
You can always just do swatches with different hook sizes to see how you like the density of the fabric. For my amis, I like a 4mm hook with worsted weight, but your tension will affect what you like!
Depends on what you mean by people different than you because I keep seeing people use that kind of phrasing to say we should tolerate hateful attitudes that cause harm because it's "a difference in opinion".
Working on some cute doggy bow ties to sell at the Maritime Con Artists event last weekend of September at IKEA!

I had a VERY interesting day at @fanexpocanada.bsky.social today. Can't wait to tell you all about it! Come see me at booth AP50 tomorrow!
p.s. this is the most badass picture of me I've ever seen, so thanks for all the support today!

I find it's a little more stretchy than your typical chain, just FYI, if you need to measure out the item you are making yourself. I use it as a base for bracelets I make and when I did the chain, I would do 50-55 stitches, now I do 40-45.
Have you tried doing a foundation single crochet row? It lets you make the first row at the same time as you make the chain.

They are gorgeous! Would you be open to commissions in the future? I would like to get a wood shuttle with a hook, but none of the ones you have currently call to me.
The link works on my side. Hopefully the other commenter manages to get in.
This is the most compact inkle loom I've ever seen!
Yeah, that's more like hardinger than tatting at best.
And Ada Lovelace being the first computer programmer.

I remember reading an article years ago that pointed out all the post apocalyptic movies have vehicles and trying to find gas as if everyone has forgotten bikes exist?
