Lack of any meaningful enforcement by VicPol is the reason why these things continue to happen.

They only do ‘some kind of sentence’ when it’s a fatality..
@heathryan16.bsky.social hopefully it is a better outcome than I had in terms of jail time.
Sam Welsford avoided the carnage of a last-corner crash to sprint to victory in the curtain raising criterium at the Tour Down Under.
Paris urban biking DOUBLED in just one year.
“Cycling in Paris has transcended mere trendiness; it’s become a fundamental aspect of the city’s identity. Despite challenges like inclement weather, cyclists continue to flock to the streets, setting new records and reshaping the urban landscape.”
It’s going to be a great hoot having you riding along 😉
It’ll be an absolute hoot, it will be!!
It shows you which side the bots/AI is on… #inclusionmatters
I’ve just read ‘Nexus’ by Yuval Noah Harari talking about this exact thing. Good book!!
We need it done in Australia if it hasn’t already be done.

Instead of just electrifying the status quo, Dutch cities’ new Zero-Emission Zones include incentives to shift freight and service transport to cargo bike, with their infrastructure making it safe and time-competitive—creating a win-win for entrepreneurs and for cities.

LOL imagine me trying to cross the road…. I’d never get across!
I echo your words @heathryan16.bsky.social
A man on a recumbent trike, on the side of the road sign to the left saying that there are camels, wombats, kangaroos for the next 96kms
This was back in 2021 and us crossing the Nullarbor… didn’t see one of those things on that sign, did see an emu deck himself on one of the sections of the rabbit proof fence, was pretty funny, especially when the distance had beaten ya. It was about 1500km in total. All to raise the awareness!
Just listened to this book. It’s true GRIT. It’s about motivation, desire, perspective and essentially a thought to start with. Highly recommend.

Back in 2023 I was doing a massive trike/bike ride all across Australia to raise awareness about young stroke and inclusion.
This was pretty much a daily occurrence for me, except I caught it on the GoPro.
Please be safe on the roads over Christmas and it doesn’t cost a life to slow down!
In Australia do you think caravan drivers should be forced to get another license or lessons?

“The lesson from the Netherlands isn’t just about bike lanes or trains; it’s about ambition.
It’s about designing cities for people, not just cars.
It’s about leaders stepping up, citizens demanding more and breaking out of the status quo to embrace something better.”
A level understanding, to walk talk in the shoes of another. I like it.
If you could make one change in society around disability/accessibility, what would it be?
I’m curious.
Plus I will be writing about my recent 4,000-kilometre ‘Ride2Ukraine’ bicycle adventure from the UK to Kyiv to raise awareness and funds for the ‘Voices of Children’ charitable foundation.
But more about all these books in 2025.
