Nope. I also took it literally.
Things I didn’t think I’d spend time doing today:
1. Performing shibari on a pteranodon with copper wire.
Liv, the main character of Guild Mage by David Niemitz. As a costume designer with a strong interest in historical fashion, I looked to the Renaissance for inspiration. Liv’s outfit is a mashup of 1490s-1560s England and Italy.
This article from CT Insider from today by Natasha Sokoloff outlines how much eact CT school district will be losing this year in federal funding. I bet you can guess which districts will be hit the hardest.

When I close my eyes and lightning strikes a mile away, I see the distinct formations of the jagged roots of the of the lightning’s bright silhouette behind my eyelids. Each bolt has its own distinct structure and pattern. It’s surreal.
Loose and messy ink drawing of a woman’s face with a water wash over it for a drippy and melted effect.
Last night’s sketchbook page: I doodled loosely in a regular writing pen, and then gave it a water wash.
Close up photo of a budding maple tree with the first leaves sprouting from the blossoms.
I am always happy to see the greening of the trees.

Digital hand drawn map of a fantasy world with an ornate border inspired by medieval illuminated manuscripts.
What I hope is the final draft of the map for the Guild Mage series by @davidniemitz.bsky.social set for publication in July.
Ink drawing of an abstracted female figure tangled up in abstract rounded forms.
Last night’s sketchbook page while bingeing the new season of Handmaid’s Tale.
What should I try next to draw?
Last night’s sketchbook page expressing some emotions I have a hard time finding words for. It’s been a rough couple of weeks.
Following for a vested interest.
I inherited this painting from my grandparents. The artist’s signature appears to be Jack, but I can’t read the last name. Is it Caring? I think they bought it in Ogunquit, ME in the 70s or 80s. I contacted few galleries up there, but they seem to be seasonal. Any ideas? #seascapeart #ogunquit
I’m very at that. Any tips?
Self portrait?

This appears to be my new art phase.

Cute, but deadly.
We could practice together.
Attempting to cope with alcohol (markers).

Does this look like a roadkill opossum to anyone else?
I feel this in my soul. I’m cleaning out my basement and so far I’ve made two saved runs, and filled the back of my small suv with another load, and it’s barely made a dent. I want to free myself of all the clutter but it’s so hard.
What is this? Why it’s a deer, of course. An extremely close up view of the inside of its skull, but still a deer. Sometimes it’s better to get lost in the wondrous details and to not worry too much about what it’s “supposed” to be.
I could illustrate magic cards, right?
