Finally paid my respects to the grave of LtC. Robert E. Whitbeck. If you’ve read my book, you’ll recall he gave his life defending his command, the U.S. Army artillery and radar site at Tuy Hòa North Airfield on 30 January 1968.
I also visited the grave of Lansdale, whose papers shaped my work.
