Cool.

Unfortunately, I wasn’t sent to conduct the interviews for this film. Still, I could tell he’s quite the character.

I imagine his stories are even better when you’re around him that long.

Presidementia is doing a fantastic job of making Iran the rational actor in this unnecessary conflict.

If we, historians, didn’t complicate things, then we would be terrible at our craft.

American Christianity helped justify slavery and, later, segregation. Today it remains antagonistic to the teachings of Christ and continues to function as a firehose of white supremacy and nationalism.

Finally paid my respects to the grave of LtC. Robert E. Whitbeck. If you’ve read my book, you’ll recall he gave his life defending his command, the U.S. Army artillery and radar site at Tuy Hòa North Airfield on 30 January 1968.

I also visited the grave of Lansdale, whose papers shaped my work.

Hey #Skystorians, any of you with expertise in the French Navy? I'm trying to find record of a French corvette named Laplace that was present in Japanese waters in early 1868, and all my searching is coming up dry so far. It's mentioned in US diplomatic correspondence.
