On the bright side... Brittany..... In like 10 pages iirc...

I've been sketching thru certain scenes in my notebooks, the main thing I really need to get through is the introduction & I'm honestly dreading having to draw a bus stop for at least two pages. Like I'm gonna reuse the asset I draw for it but oh my god. Buses suck.

If you can believe it I fell so hard I've used a cane outside of the house every day since this happened!! Part of why it's hard to work at the rate I'd like to--Can't carry my tablet and walk at the same time when I'm supporting myself with a cane.

Technically telling you guys he’s trans now makes a later joke less funny but you win some and you lose some. Fun fact is that his design has never once changed significantly in an entire decade. These are from ~10 and ~5 years ago

Waiting for some free time to work and update again, but I’m in the mood to share some sketches! This is Brendan, he’ll be in ch1! He likes music and smokes weed. He’s considered an all around pretty cool, fun guy, which is why these sketches are of him being mostly unhappy. Wanted to branch out.

Alright update is we gotta stay on hiatus for a little longer! I did intend to update but I slipped and fell really hard in the rain and hurt myself so now I’m just taking it slow and working on college stuff! Hope you understand :)

It seems to be “having a meltdown” but most contexts I’ve seen it used in seem to imply possible drug fuelled meltdowns except for like one where it’s just a woman getting a little heated and then being like “nvm I’m an adult” so I don’t know . Not even a teacher yet and already behind on slang

I’m seeing that people are using “crash out” to mean something I’m not familiar with lately, it’s what I use for when I run outta spoons and crash for multiple days at a time so what does that mean now btw :”)

I crashed last week after 4 days of difficult walking in a row so I forgot to post a second page!! And I also forgot what day it was and posted on a Monday . But I’m getting into the groove of things and I’ll have one up tomorrow haha

I did this one the day my cat lost my pen nib so I wrote it with my finger.

A building beneath a non-candy coloured sky explodes into a huge ball of purple and green light with a large "bang!" In a bed, a girl with a cat-shaped sleeping mask screams and covers her ears as her bedroom is flooded with green light. "Oh my god," the girl tries to catch her breath and sits up-- It's Scarlett, only without green light in her silver eyes, and with mascara tears all down her cheeks. "What the hell? Did something just explode?"

I'm just giving you the rest tonight.

Scarlett "Just take my hands, I'll help! Let's make your city magnificent!" She takes Jenny's hand, and Jenny yelps. "Tonight!" Scarlett shouts and begins to cast a purple spell. The girls spin around as the spell grows and their clothing changes wildly. The day turns to night and back to day rapidly. The two stare across the purple light to each other with huge smiles.

Oof this is something I need to practice so thank you for the tips!!! I have to start experimenting with shading for my comic soon since the prologue was so time consuming

If I can't find everything I need I might alter the colours in the palette but these are unaltered thus far.

You may guess if you feel so inclined but I use more than one image to select from for a well rounded palette. Music videos, official lyric videos, promotional materials, album covers, as well as single covers are all fair game!

These are the colour palettes for chapter one and they're all from songs again!! I think they turned out quite lovely!

For me the dyspraxia is mostly seen in my complete inability to navigate literally at all which is why I have had to repeatedly mirror my sketches upon realising that Jenny and Scarlie swapped sides and only stopped doing that when it was chaotic enough in general to seem like not an accident

I write in pseudo-cursive and the whole family has some level of dyspraxia going on … Plus my tremor . So the odds are against me

I know my handwriting is rough sometimes it’s on purpose like the character with the green text bc they are like that in general but sometimes I hope you can at least use the alt text and I’ll probably revise some of these speech bubbles when I’m more experienced haha ;;
