MASTER VERSION 1.1 | Kirkus Reviews In 2028, war in Ukraine has mutated into a media spectacle for online audiences in Marcelionis’ speculative novel.

"Sitting at the intersection of cyberpunk and techno-thriller/combat SF, this is an auspicious debut, whether taken as brisk escapism or a warning about the modern era of globalist imperialist dictators." Kirkus reviews wrote about my book, Master Version 1.1

The statue of Pavlov, famous for making dogs salivate by ringing a bell, was dismantled in Kyiv. In my book Master Version 1.1, Pavlov's great-grandson rings a bell too, but his experiments are even more sinister.

Early prototype of a prosthetic arm (a more modern version plays a role in my book, Master Version 1.1). Created in the 16th century for Götz von Berlichingen: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/G%C3%B6...

Interestingly, when I wrote the book, no such LEGO set existed—it was only released after I finished writing. I can now proudly say that, like many sci-fi writers, I managed to predict the future! #BookSky💙📚🪐#thrillerbook #kindleunlimited #scifibook #writerslife

I agree; it's a very nice idea. After all, generating new media and many other forms of entertainment would heavily employ a random number generator, so why not go right to the core?

Actually, the fact that Mal was bored was a bit sad. I understand that playing games like Tetris wouldn't make sense for him, but maybe he could have some favorite shows and think of new versions? For instance, merging 'Friends' with 'Star Wars' could be quite entertaining.

If it were unlimited, he couldn't win at all. However, he does win sometimes: twenty-four wins against 3.7 billion losses. So, I did some math and found that the range is approximately 0-150 million. I'm not sure why such a range was chosen, but there, now I can sleep. #BookSky 📚🪐

I am reading 'Mal Goes to War' by Edward Ashton @edashtonwriting.bsky.social and enjoying every page. Mal, the main character, guesses numbers generated by a random number generator for entertainment. Up to the point I've read, there is no information about the range of numbers the RNG uses.
