Why support talented artists that create quality content when you can support a data center that turns out derivative slop?
Can you run Doom in Marko, though?
Playing both sides against the people
After watching the stream, I get the impression that the quality and attention-to-detail in Marko are top-tier. Strong fundamentals are what counts, since it's not like the race is ever going to be over. Web design presents too many different challenges for there ever to be a single solution.
Well find out after the race is finished ;)
It's so close to ready now that I almost don't mind that it's 5 years late.
One negative comment on any random blog is enough to activate the Outrage-Industrial Complex
Slackware
It didn't go well
They should spend less time trying to unite centrists and more time trying to unite the left.
The DNC seems pretty committed to their existing playbook. If a new generation of leaders showed that they could organize and make themselves heard, maybe the old DNC guard would be willing to pass the reigns.
Blazing fast signals?
Cloud signals?
Serverless signals?
Big data signals?
AI signals?
The possibilities are endless.
Drugs and immigration are the scapegoats. This trade war is for currency manipulation and threatened asset acquisition.
I started working on a SSR version of the tier list. Let me know your thoughts.
"Who bother getting out of bed if you're not going to shill for private equity?" is what I hear when I read those comments.
I have no idea what you mean and it's annoying.
I'm the opposite: Can a VC-backed project guarantee that I won't be extorted later if I make their tool part of my product?
Oauth, oidc, and jwt are all simple protocols according to spec. The way some providers implement those protocols (*cough*GOOGLE*cough*) is asinine.
I'll float a theory now that the stream is over:
I don't remember who said it originally, but the idea is that once a market is saturated a team should no longer "move fast and break things" but instead "clearly define your scope and deliver quality." I see that value a lot in the Vue/Vite ecosystem
The sentiment towards Vue & Nuxt seemed to improve a lot in 2024. If you noticed that, too, I'd love to hear your thoughts on it during the stream.
Does Rolldown or esbuild power the dev server in the fork?
"Tech" leadership is overrun with financiers who cosplay as inventors.
