A Free Press, Not a Free Pass – It's Time for Fair Regulation For too long, the UK press have bullied people, harassed grieving families, and destroyed lives, all to sell papers. We’ve all seen the heartbreaking consequences. They’ve hacked phones, listened to ...

Did you watch The Hack? I can't believe papers have gotten away with destroying lives for so long. That's why I've signed the petition, set up by Hugh Grant and other phone hacking victims, to demand fair, independent regulation. Join me: you.38degrees.org.uk/petitions/a-...

"Just the other day, I was in the audience at Lincoln Center when Justice Amy Coney Barrett said, while promoting a new book, that she doesn't think the United States is in a constitutional crisis," Farias told us. "Today, the Supreme Court, without offering a single line of reasoning, more or less declared that the Fourth Amendment, which protects everyone from unreasonable searches and seizures, nonetheless allows the Trump Administration to arrest and detain anyone who looks Latino, citizen or not, on account of the language that they speak or the kind of jobs they do. The ruling putatively covers the Los Angeles area, but the effect could be national," he continued.

The New Yorker asked me “how bad” today’s Supreme Court ruling was. I boiled it down to one paragraph:

Binge watched #Inflight last night, enjoyed it a lot. Enough of a decent ending to not have to watch a second series, but left with a bit of uncertainty for those who enjoy series extension.

Brussels can't go to Keir Starmer because it's a city and thus can't move.

I lived in San Diego for a year in 83/84 (I'm English) and was very surprised, but also delighted, to be given a homemade Zucchini (or courgette as we call it) cake. Absolutely yum ☺️

In the spirit of this being our new happy, safe space….

I always wanted to be a pop star. I spent my childhood in various imaginary bands and used all my spare time making miniature covers for my equally imaginary discography.

I started in 1982 aged 8 and finished 6 years and 271 records later

#lbc I'm surprised the rest of the non-farming population aren't protesting and threatening to stop traffic in order to reduce the Inheritance Tax tot he same rate that farmers would have to pay. My brother's assets went £175k over the threshold, we are paying 40% on that. @mrjamesob.bsky.social

Inevitably the same people who lost their shit over Starmer receiving a free concert ticket are now losing their minds because he turned down free membership of a golf course.
