Natalie Barr was just as disgraceful, insisting that Australians on the NDIS are “milking it”

We have a gas inquiry on, Barr conveniently ignoring the actual milking by the gas giants. Not a word on the billions we lose each year in resource revenue.

I think it would be quicker to get the trucking industry to go electric than to "drill baby drill", as the Liberal Party has been saying, to look for more oil reserves.

The sleek looking Windrose electric truck.

The sleek looking Windrose electric truck.

It's urgent Australia converts its transportation fleet to electric.

For food security & national security.

Trump & Netanyahu will escalate the Iran war. The oil crisis will get much worse.

Cutting fossil fuel excise tax causes a short-term sugar hit, but long-term makes us less secure.

Greyhound racing ban kept alive as independent indicates support Upper house independent Dean Harriss, who is up for re-election next month, says he will support the Tasmanian government's ban on greyhound racing, but only if the industry compensation package is in...

Tasmania's greyhound racing.

It can't support itself. It requires government handouts.

What for?
• Animal cruelty
• Gambling addition

Money that would otherwise have gone to hospitals & schools.

Good, but govt whines this will cost extra: ignores the bleedingly obvious fact that helping people w showering & continence reduces infections & illnesses that would cost far more long term in medical & hospital care! Deliberate spin or stupidly short-sighted & can't do math? #Auspol #AgedCare 🤨

Congratulations, Virginia! Republicans are trying to tilt the midterm elections in their favor, but they haven’t done it yet. Thanks for showing us what it looks like to stand up for our democracy and fight back.

Was talking to an old friend about how Albanese copes with negative media, social media, performative politicians, obstructionists, populists, disingenuous MPs, racists and dealing with Trump .

Her answer was simple . He focusses on the work to be done . And Labor has got a lot of work done .

Nine lessons for the US from Viktor Orbán’s defeat | Kenneth Roth As US elections approach, the Hungarian prime minister’s loss is a reminder that history does not march relentlessly toward autocracy

"Perhaps the most important lesson is that history does not march relentlessly toward autocracy. Even Orbán had to face reality and concede defeat. He mounted no January 6-style effort to cling to power."

We expect some positive decisions tomorrow on the €90 billion loan to Ukraine.

This would show that our support for Ukraine remains strong and that Russia cannot outlast Ukraine.

Here in the UK, the appeasement of the extremists and populists has allowed people to get away with conduct that I thought we'd stamped out in the late 1990s.

The current popular disguise for their blatant racism is "legitimate concerns". No, you don't have legitimate concerns, you're a racist...

They certainly are not all of us. What I KNOW is we are all migrants apart from First Nations people. Some of us forced, some of us asked and some came of their own accord. Everything is better having lots of different cultures in the one place. I live in a very diverse area and could not be happier
