There actually *is* a 24/7 Crunchyroll channel on free streaming services (Pluto, Roku, etc) but it unfortunately lacks any personality whatsoever.
HiDive and Retrocrush also have channels, plus Pluto TV Anime and a few dedicated single-series ones. It's actually a great time for linear anime.

A picture of a hardback book on a washed blue background. The title is Next Level: Making Games That Make Themselves, by Mike Cook.
I've written a book! Next Level: Making Games That Make Themselves is the story of procedural generation - the tech behind games like Minecraft and Dwarf Fortress. It's about how it works, the games that use it, and the art and magic behind it.
Out May 7th, in bookshops: linktr.ee/next_level 🎲🔮
This sounds great! Going right on top of the watchlist.

This latest ref pack is a love letter to all my hard surface artist friends
It contains 400+ (3.1GB) photos from the CAF SoCal airplane museum, including 100+ shots of tiny details from the cockpit of a MiG-21MF
Use them for anything, just make sure to credit me!

Every single artist that posts on BlueSky should have this saved to their computer because so many of you are posting character torsos all day.

The Video Game History Foundation does incredible work, of which this is just one example, but let's also all agree that @philsalv.bsky.social is a goddamned national treasure
We're happy to announce that the Comix Cleric Kickstarter will be launching Dec. 8th!!
If successful, this campaign will help keep us operating while we finish development of a feature-ready version. We're almost there, but a little help goes a long way!

Blender is struggling. it's the best piece of 3d software on the market, and it's free. I'm not going back to autodesk.

"The question we need to consider is not just “how does good journalism survive” but how can journalism model survival? Personally, I believe the way forward looks like collectives and worker-owned publications. "
Here's a good starter pack for y'all:

Folks who create videos about games on the internet: I have questions for you if you'd be so kind. I'm trying to determine the relationship between traditional media and those who create videos about games and have never worked for the games press. Sharing is appreciated!

Thanks for all the responses so far! I'm going to close this in a couple days so if you know any more creators who might fill this out, please keep sharing until then. Results are super interesting so far and I'm looking forward to sharing them with everybody as part of a larger project!
The obscure Interact computer made in Michigan only sold in the thousands, but made an impact in France. I tell the story behind the computer (and how France got involved), and how the tech influenced the game I'm still only partway through (The Troll Hole Adventure).

I agree with the other commenters suggesting a fresh Windows install since your specs now should solidly meet your needs. Raw part prices for what you listed run around $1000 for a notch above lowest-tier picks, with wiggle room depending on the specific RAM and mobo. pcpartpicker.com/list/LCmtTM
Going from AM4 to AM5 means the RAM will need replacing, too.
GenAI has polluted image search results, especially for animal pics. It’s now basically impossible to find accurate art references.
Enter this: a repository of open-access, AI-free images of wild & exotic taxa. Artists creating *without AI* have blanket permission for derivative/transformative use.
Without federal funding, public media — and the truth-telling, community-connecting role it plays — is at risk.
