A drawer full of too many guitar pedals
I have a fair few horrible distortions if you’d wanna try some outside of a guitar shop scenario!
I’ll come to whatever you end up doing in Glasgow, but I’ve grabbed a Thursday London ticket too.

The most stressed out I've ever been about Christmas was when I was 16 and I got my first ever job, working at M&S in Dundrum. As soon as I started I kept hearing these myths about the Christmas Eve Waste Sale, where all the food that wasn't sold on the 24th was marked down 90%.
I’d guess it’s the same reason why phishing emails deliberately have poor grammar & spelling.
It leads to the responders being a self selecting group of only the most gullible / vulnerable.
The kid voice does seem very strange though!
I was in that band, we always thought that because DA was a fan of Sons and Daughters, somebody must’ve mentioned us to him.
But clearly we were very wrong.
Thanks for this, very nice to have his blessing!
Wait, first “Pavements” at the GFT, and now you’re my first source for this!?
Gonna just stop using search engines.
It only came 3rd in my friend’s Pavement competition / podcast.
I’m still holding a grudge.
Yeah, not only did he have a lot to do there, but there’s a definite risk in playing a pretentious version of yourself and hoping everyone’s in on the joke.
Thanks for the heads up about this, I wouldn’t have known it was happening if you hadn’t.
Surprisingly emotional, turns out a musical theatre super medly can really push my buttons!
“Pavements” is even greater than I’d expected.
Trying to work out if Miles Hunt from the Wonderstuff is very briefly in it.

In the car with the kids coming back from holiday, having just picked up our dog.
Suddenly my old band band is on 6Music as a “Lost Indie Classic”.
Much joy in the car - even from me! Surprisingly nice to hear an old song in a new context.
The way he enunciates every syllable in the chorus, they should’ve released it as “I Do Not Want To Hear It”
Yep sounded just like Don’t Look Back. I guess the preshow tunes planted that idea in our heads Derren Brown style?
There’s also a solo on On My Knees which I always think could easily be on Thirteen.
You made a better covers-call than me.
After announcing a cover with “you might know this one” he 100% played the first two chords of a Teenage Fanclub song.
But, no. 🤷♂️
Our youngest loves the song & video (despite an out of nowhere “oh this bad guy is gay” moment).
Sorry to tell you, even if you listen to it a load it doesn’t get purged.
80% of spa background music sounds like it’s just about to lead into Twin Peaks main theme.
Shouldn’t be relaxing but it is.
@harvilla.bsky.social is a joy! You have a lovely journey ahead of you… all the way to “60 Songs That Explain the ‘90s: The 2000s”
(the “:” is important)
Having both the soldier / nail technician act and the fake Welsh outfits (flowers & sheep!) felt problematic in the tiniest and funniest way.
Big “Johnny Foreigner” (the band) playing-the-top-gun-theme vibes in this new Superman trailer.
Keanu in the Matrix, but he’s saying “now I know karate”
#thebandkarate last night in Glasgow.
I hadn’t previously clicked with their recorded output, but seeing them live totally won me over.
