I'm not talking about 9 10 11 at night. I'm talking about 5-8, AKA the evening. The time people get out of work and school, the time children can go outside to play, the time people go for walks and runs, the time do their errands. The time people are living their lives.

If they don't care, how is it affecting them? I'm arguing for a permanent time change, not a biyearly change. If people need light in the morning, maybe we should not be staring work and school so early and having them last so long. And maybe we need to stop pretending getting up early isn't a vice.
You seem to be joking but someone would unironically say that. If you change the time for there to be more light in the morning, there will be less light when people get off of work and out of school. In a high enough latitude (like most of Canada) the sun will be down by then.
If you don;t want to have these kinds of conversations with your kid then FIND SOME ONE ELSE TO RAISE YOU KID! If you are unwilling to be a parent, than don't be, someone else who is willing to be a parent can do your job.

People need more light in the evening, not morning. It is the evening that most people go out to do errands and it is the evenings that children can play outside after school. NOT in the mornings.
People should not be shut in at work and school though all the during daylight hours.

there's so much bad in the world but there's also people who lift up and carry an elderly bat around every day so he can pretend he's flying again, and that's the part of the world I think is worth fighting for
