I reflect on the Welsh Conservatives after a brutal week.
open.substack.com/pub/itvwales...
I’ve written about the Welsh Conservatives post conference:
🔵 A member says his suspension was a warning to others
🔵 Kemi Badenoch calls herself a “devo-sceptic”
🔵 Young Tories want change. A clash with the old guard is brewing

Welsh Water is hiring a new CEO - but unlike most job ads, they’re not sharing many details publicly.
If you’re interested, you’ll need to email them to request a candidate pack.
Many lines from the Nigel Farage interview.
At one point during it he did seem to scrap the BBC licence fee
Then when I asked how @S4C would be funded, the licence fee came back but at a reduced rate.

The leader of Reform UK Nigel Farage tonight on @sharpenditv.bsky.social
Here’s a flavour.
Tonight on @sharpenditv.bsky.social an extended interview with Nigel Farage.
Good to see the ITV regions in England branching out to documentaries, even if they are online only.
Two particularly good examples this week can be found via ITV News on YouTube - a Calendar film on the Bradford City fire and a Tyne Tees effort on the Sycamore Gap tree.
Well worth watching.

Does TV get any better?
Mr Wales has died.
Dafydd Elis-Thomas was a one-off
A nationalist who became the confidant of a King.
A former Plaid Cymru leader who served as a minister in a Labour-led government.
A radical who took his seat in the House of Lords.
He was an extraordinary man who lived an extraordinary life.
Not a great look for 🏴 this week.
🔴 Our biggest museum has suddenly closed over safety concerns.
🟢 Our biggest university faces major cuts, with hundreds of academics at risk and courses scrapped.
🌍What’s that about global Wales again?🌏
