It is every catβs sacred duty to be as annoying as possible while being completely endearing at the same time.

Can imagine the discussion at Marvel...
"We are splitting everything into seperate lines with their own editor-in-chief... where do we put New Warriors?"
"Ben Reilly can join the team for an issue. It's a Spidey book now!"
"But..."
"It's a Spider-man book! Look, he's on the cover!" π
Be fun if it was revived elsewhere - e.g. the characters popping up in the Marvel universe. Or even in the Image universe!
Yes! I remember reading a collection of the first bunch of issues, and definitely enjoyable.
Surprised its not been revived/revisited, with multiverses being a popular concept at moment (e.g. with movies, comic books, etc.) probably perfect time for a revival or reboot! π
POST promotional graphic in slate blue, cream and red. Text reads: "Get a third off a POST annual subscription *Until April 30. Nuart Aberdeen is back this week. To mark the festival, we're offering a third off an annual POST subscription."

Photos of previous Books & Networking events and Simon's books, accompanied by text saying: "Why attend Books & Networking? Book club, networking, and writing. Thursday 21st May at 11:00am-1:00pm"
Look forward to next month's Books & Networking!
Networking, mixed with discussions on the books you are reading!
People attend for a variety of reasons - some are more interested in the book club aspects, others networking. A few looking for advice on writing.

No matter how tired you are, you will never be as tired as a cat that has done absolutely nothing all day.
Marvel Knights Captain America started strong, but with change of creative teams etc. mid-story started to feel like it was all over the place.
Neil Gaiman's 1602 was enjoyable... and remember the excitement at the time... although how things have changed!!
I remember this π
The usual weekend beach walk! π
Youngblood Strikefile was great - like that it had more story to it (probably because it could focus on individual characters, and the other Youngblood books are still enjoyable)!
This is amazing, plus his cover to 1998's Avengers #1. Back when being an Avenger was something (rather than modern Marvel's "everyone is an Avenger" direction)!
Have a great time, watch out for blue furred monsters near any bakery stands!
Yet sadly there are still people who will defend the company no matter what, despite what has been revealed recently, and over the years! π
I'll keep an eye out for the thread, and post when I can download a picture to accompany it! π
Madge and Harold from Neighbours, with the text: Just letting you know, if you were born before 1982, you are now older than Madge Bishop when she joined Neighbours... Have a great day!
Today I learned, as I curled into a rotted husk.
She was 43. Harold was 47.
Is your shop or cafe ready for the Spring footfall? βοΈβ

Been misbehaving all day, but seems to be working again now!
I still miss #1pmchat ππͺπͺπͺπͺπͺπͺπͺπͺπͺπͺ
My vague memories was there was previously an hour called 1pmLunch or something like that? That hour ended, and then 1pmChat started to continue the hour?
Hosting the "temporary" Saturday hour was great fun during lockdown!
I seem to remember George was always the main host (I started joining the hour in 2019), and was possibly a spin-off from another hour that previously existed?
And answering Cookie Monster to every quiz question! π
Watching the finale of The Apprentice this evening - don't take it seriously (everyone from #1pmChat days may remember my blog post on why the show doesn't really reflect businesses), but going to watch it anyway!

In honour of Image and 90s artist Steve Platt, let's name it the Platt-inum age!! π
(Don't know why I thought of him since he was never involved with Malibu, but still seemed appropriate!!)
Text saying "Hi simon, can you help with - Thursday 21st May, 11:00am-1:00pm". In background is a photo of shelves of books.
I often get messages asking for advice with writing, books to read, etc.
Best place to ask these are at the Books & Networking events. Others at event may be able to support you too!
Be great to see you at next month's meeting. Tickets available at: www.eventbrite.com/e/books-netw...

I'm surprised people can get so excited over a baked potato! Although if its what people are into, good for them (and he does seem to be a genuine influencer). π
I'm sometimes asked which books we discuss at the Books & Networking events.
There's no specific book - we discuss what everyone's reading.
On this page you'll find EVERY book choice from every event - so check it out if you are looking for inspiration: www.booksandnetworking.co.uk/events/previ...
