I want to share more, but I will as things go on. I'm hoping to get these all "public ready" and then slowly launch them over a few weeks.

I've been quiet lately because life is insane but I'm also working on a number of side projects.

Just a give a few sneak peeks:

- Not one, but 6 apps!!! 🎶🎮🕹️📺📁💡
- Updates to Sage RPG and my personal site 📖
- A new website idea 👾
- CommunityKit 2.0 🧑‍💻

And lots more going on!

I read it over my lunch and uh, I hope there is a follow up or something.

Excited for another year of CommunityKit and WWDC goodness 🎉

I agree with your statement but the game was built with both perspectives in mind. The developers gave both options so as far as I’m concerned that is the intended model they chose to use.

With that said the right side looks like ass and I don’t want it in my games.

I use Narwhal on iOS and use multi reddits and some clever trimming of politics to curate my experience. I have a doomscroll politics multireddit and a fun time computers and hobbies. Seems to do the trick.

I was considering something like the Emporia Vue and piping that to Home Assistant. Bypasses their app and stores data locally.

Get the presale pass while it's available!

Can't wait to see you in Nashville!

Claude + Home Assistant is also super powerful. It can help debug and fix automations which is 90% of the pain points I have with HA

Home Assistant > HomeKit every day

Also Portainer is the first thing I install afterwards because it has a nice feature filled GUI for controlling the containers I can access from anywhere on my network.

Docker for Mac is still not that stable for every container I try to run. I have a decommissioned gaming PC I use as a NAS and it does all my docker stuff in a Linux VM. Far better experience IMO.

FYI, CommunityKit has a fancy new Bluesky handle now.

We're coming back for WWDC 2026.

“Roll for DNS”

Yup. Even looking at tech over the years we went from room filling computers to your own machine doing so much. LLMs will eventually be outpaced locally no matter what.

This is the take I agree with. The large scale LLMs are going to phase out in favor of local LLMs. Look at GPT OSS 20B and tell me it’s not good enough for 90% of use cases.

Donate to Fund Liz’s Surgery for Endometriosis Relief, organized by Liz Foster Hi I’m Liz, and I have no idea how to even start this. But I’ll try. Basically … Liz Foster needs your support for Fund Liz’s Surgery for Endometriosis Relief

Hey all, I generally don't like asking for help this way but my sister has been battling endometriosis and needs some help. She has setup a GoFundMe to help with the medical costs since she needs to see an out of state specialist. Please share or donate if you can:

And can do so many things. Using BLE presence I can have music follow me in the house or pair speakers from different manufacturers for stereo audio. Home Assistant is awesome!

Not to mention Home Assistant Voice has a dedicated device now and also has extensible options.

It’s improved massively, for a few things I use the HomeKit bridge to expose different scenes from Home Assistant as scenes for HomeKit so they work with Siri. I also do all my automations in HA. There is a new and really awesome player called Music Assistant which connects any HA compatible speaker

It’s why I’ve given up and use Home Assistant for everything now. It integrates with HomePod or any other voice assistant speaker and I can customize it how I like. Also can run a local LLM to handle stuff too!

I’m kinda a Steam deck evangelist though, I’ve owned two and prefer Steam over any other platform for gaming so I’m definitely biased.

Huh that’s odd, the WiFi and Bluetooth have been solid for me (except for a Stadia controller but that’s known to have weird issues).

From factor wise it’s far more comfortable than the Switch 2 for me but for sure that’s a preference thing.

Can I ask why the hate on the Steam Deck? It was my most played system by far, love that thing.

Hot take: Gen-AI isn’t cutting edge for movie visuals. It only replicates, it doesn’t innovate.

Stephen, you give me a budget and I will personally pick parts for you. I believe building it yourself is way better than any pre-built and if something breaks you know what to do to fix it.

I was in IT for years, have built servers and multiple gaming rigs and soft dev now. HMU if you want!
