It's fascinating since most of the 20th century it was a working class Irish Catholic neighborhood (and now a artsy to condo stricken hell.)

I'm reading a book about the 1844 Nativist Riots against Irish Catholics. One striking thing is that Fishtown in the 19th century was considered a Protestant stronghold (as well as still having fishers in the streams before the city drained them all.)

Maybe I should start writing short book reviews of the stuff I'm reading again. Haven't been doing that since December.

I just spent 15 minutes trying to analyze the lyrics of "Nancy Whiskey" to determine if it was about an actual woman who ruined the protagonist or alcoholism. The conclusion is it was definitely about alcoholism

Summer's ashes are finally home. I'm creating a shrine with her favorite winter sweater, her collars for people who were skittish about her breed, her favorite toys, and her leash which would make her so excited because she knew she was going on walks.

I'm out of the house for the first time since Saturday, to do a Center City Food Tour for a group of 4 in 20something degree weather. I'm still figuring out the transition to life without seeing Summer every day, but it's nice to see people walking their dogs.

My house will be Summer's Place and my garden will be Summer's Gardens.
