UPDATE 2:
805 Patriots are now pouting bc they were not allowed to participate in a family friendly community event. What they fail to acknowledge is that community members presented organizers with video of the maga truck club members committing crimes and assaulting members of the community.

Our suspicion is that because the 2026 Grand Marshall, Chris Carafelli, has been a member of 805 Patriots facebook group since August of 2024, the Parade organizers were forced to pull the plug to avoid the controversy.

But community members were not satisfied and refused to accept 805 Patriots being platformed at a family friendly community event. Boycotts and protests were widely discussed.

We were clear about only American flags and no political signs or tshirts. He readily agreed. We were also clear to him that we would have one of our sheriff escorts directly in front of their float, and if they suddenly took out any political banners or any other political items/speech, that the sheriff would escort them immediately off the parade route.

The parade committee initially tried to placate concerned community members via email, suggesting 805 Patriots would be escorted out of the parade if they do anything divisive.
