there are lots of cases where i prefer the pre-configured solution (caddy vs. nginx comes to mind)

tmux is very much one of those "batteries not included" programs

the thing i don't like about "batteries included" software is it tends to prefer shoving the author's opinions down my throat rather than letting me configure stuff
