Two years in the making with @dcameron.bsky.social and an incredible group of collaborators. Publication will take a bit more time, but we’re hoping for a 2026 book launch.
Stay tuned for thought-provoking chapters on empathy and AI 🤖 🧠 🫀

Loved working on this with you guys!
Thanks Eitan! Same here. I will try to make it to SFN in November 🙏🏼
I’m very much looking forward to this year of cross-disciplinary conversations, and would be glad to connect with colleagues and potential collaborators in and around the Boston area - please feel free to ping me! 3/3
At Radcliffe, I’ll continue my research on human-AI empathic interactions: how people perceive empathy from AI versus humans, and what we truly value in human empathy. More broadly, I’m also deeply interested in the effects AI will have on our society and how we can navigate these changes best.2/3
I’m excited to share that I'll be joining the Harvard Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study as a Fellow for the 2025–2026 academic year. @rad-institute.bsky.social 1/3
In the past year and a half, we have been intensively protesting and fighting the Israeli government in an attempt to stop the war, secure the release of all hostages, and prevent the ongoing humanitarian crisis. Until now, our protests have primarily been focused internally.

Even when AI gets it exactly right, people still prefer empathy they believe came from a human.
A new study led by #HUJI Prof. @anatperry.bsky.social, in collaboration with @harvard.edu and @utaustin.bsky.social, shows the human touch still matters.

In this study, @anatperry.bsky.social @desmond-ong.bsky.social et al show that human-attributed responses are rated as more empathic than AI-attributed ones, especially when conveying shared experience and care.

Thrilled to share @MatanRubin1 's first empirical paper, just out in @nathumbehav.nature.com . A significant step in understanding how people respond to #AI vs human #empathy, and what we value in human connection.
✨Deadline approaching, June 1st!✨
Apply if you want to investigate brain orchestration in visual (free!) exploration. You will learn a bunch of cool cog neuro techniques, and get to work with a great team of scientists within and beyond the lab.

Thank you Daryl for stepping in! I’m looking forward to more discussions soon! 🙏🏼
Really enjoyed talking to you David!
Check out @michalehmann.bsky.social ‘s new paper on intellectual humility and empathy! And thank you Michal for introducing me to the important and relevant field of intellectual humility research
Perfect! Thank you Uri 🙏🏼
haha :) I know what the syllabus will be next year ;)
I'm preparing a new graduate seminar on #AI and psychology, mostly on #empathy but probably also other related fields. What are the most important papers you've read on these topics? If you are teaching something similar, please share any thoughts / syllabus 🙏🏼
If you're interested in the intersect between psychology, neuroscience and linguistics, make sure to check out @maya_inbar's and @ayeletlandau.bsky.social latest preprint. I've had the privilege to work with her on a previous project, and it was a delight!
New here, thanks to @nivreggev.bsky.social ! Hope it becomes fun and interesting.
