There's a lot of terrible stuff going on, but in my own little corner I've received affirmations that make me feel more capable, strong, and able to help others. I've been running at a deficit for a while, and this past week has been good for my self-worth. Will be able to pay it forward.

Took another day off today. My sleep was surprisingly miserable - I had a lot more on my mind than I expected. But, today: reset my login for Zill0w, voted, got a haircut, got some groceries, and ordered some takeout as a treat. I expect to be digging into Fallout 76 in a bit. It’s a sunny day.

I was sleeping most of yesterday. Awful headache, and a fever that broke around 10pm. But, I immediately felt better once it broke, and although I’m still tired, I’m able to function again.

Got my 2nd Shingrix shot today. Picked up a lox & cream cheese bagel for lunch/dinner. Gonna make congee in case I have a bad reaction tomorrow to the vaccine. Got some Gatorade, wafer cookies. Girl Scout cookies arrived. I’m all set for tomorrow to be a shitshow. Still better than having shingles.

So, who knows? I don’t drive all that much - I commute to and from work, and I run errands. I might go a bit out of my way to play Ingress, but 99% of the time, I was on my way somewhere already. Some players here literally drive around for hours in the middle of the night, only playing the game.

Back in NC, we knew at least a few ingress players were maintaining spreadsheets of the opposition. Plate numbers, make, model, color. One particularly unpleasant couple would come over and yell at people to get out of “their” cemetery if you dared to capture anything there

M’colleague did immediately suggest someone playing ingress had done it, and the thought had crossed my mind as well. But then that implies someone knows my car and was able to get to it when it was parked and I was ostensibly nearby, which is so sad and toxic. Why put someone else in danger?

I think someone deliberately let the air out of my tire this weekend. My right rear tire was nearly completely flat, and the tire stem cap was missing. I filled up the tire, and it’s stayed filled since then.

Like, what the fuck? Maybe it’s just Prius hate, which is fucking stupid. Unsettling.

Just finished watching The Mirror Has Two Faces, which I’d never seen before, & wouldn’t have appreciated as much as I did at this point in my life. I may have ugly cried through a couple scenes. There were some really honest laughs, and charming moments that were perfectly delivered.
