But it’s also hard to gauge how well the meds work when… you know the general state of the world and what being informed does to you 💀

Before stimulants I was so emotionally unstable they gave me a goddamn BPD diagnosis. On my stimulants that problem is solved 💀

I don’t think many people realise that stimulants can greatly improve emotional stability. I wish my adhd meds were better at helping me with concentration and executive dysfunction, but what they’re doing for me mood wise is more than any antidepressant ever managed…

I switched over to bupropion a year ago hoping that it’d help more in combination with my stimulants (I can’t take high doses of them bc I get too many negative physical side effects, but the low dose also is only partly helping the adhd, it’s a curse) I’m still not sure about my med set up 😵‍💫

I’d have actually liked a fully fleshed out version of that premise—but with less quivering wings if possible (it was a bit much of that). So much potential for grade A yearning and suffering and most of that was skipped over. Tragic. 💔

Okay so on a more serious note, Heated Rivalry has sent me places emotionally that I didn’t expect and didn’t see coming, and it’s honestly been a bit rough. It’s all the mother & family related things that really hit me and suddenly emotions that I was bottling up have me choking.

Like even if these actors were actually madly in love with each other that way, I’d say good for them but I don’t need to know about that. It concerns me as much as some random stranger’s love life. Unless they personally tell me anything private I don’t wanna hear or speculate about it.

From journalists repeatedly asking them about their sexualities to people micro analysing every interaction between the actors to feed their rpf shipping agenda… I’m like damn guys just let these two do their jobs and allow them their privacy outside of filming.

It’s great, but I’m also quickly realising why I heavily gravitate towards animated or written media when it comes to fandom. The actors are great and lovely but people are discomfortingly parasocial with them and the RPF vibes are too strong for my personal taste 🫣
