I’m still shocked he’s not the Heisman favorite.
Xavier Brown led the Dukes with 18 points on 5-12 shooting. Jacksonville State’s Jaron Pierre Jr. led all scorers with 24 on 8-21 shooting.
Four Dukes finished with double-digit points. Only two Gamecocks did the same.
Things aren’t going great for the Dukes on the gridiron, but men’s basketball did just pick up a 71-65 win over Jacksonville State in Daytona, finishing in third place at the Boardwalk Battle.

Looks like Live Stats made an error that got fixed during the break — Lindsay had 23 points on 9-9 shooting.
Also, one Duke did score six points (Luke Anderson). Apologies for that mistake on my end.
Redshirt-freshman guard Bryce Lindsay scored 26 points on 10-of-10 shooting in the first half of #JMU men's basketball's game against UIC. No other Duke scored more than five points.

I think the idea that conference championships won't matter because of the Playoff won't hold up in practice, because they're still going to matter to the players and coaches with an opportunity to win them.
Championships are championships. They can still cement a team's legacy.
