Elie Mystal's book, Allow Me to Retort: A Black Guy's Guide to the Constitution, is bringing much needed balance to our government course. Ch. 10 just knocked teens out of their chair when they realized their parents were kids at the time.

Home/School/Life Mag is a newer one I think. My teen is loving their Supernatural Japanese literature unit. It's secular, queer friendly, and says the history is decolonized but it's hard to find reviews.

One of my boys just finished the "Abusing Power" literature unit from Fishtank Learning and gives two hearty thumbs up. He was engaged, we had some fabulous conversations, and he was easily making connections to current politics on his own. 🤘
