I’ll more readily accept that, because it’s done for continuity. It’s a legit pain in the ass to keep track of the bites in a food item between shots, it limits what you can re-arrange in editing.
But in animation, that’s not really an issue.

Also I’ve always been very fond of her weary expression in the rear view mirror. Assuming it’s not a direct reference to something, it’s an inspired decision.

I like the characters. Well maybe not our two scumfuck leads… (The R2-D2 and 3PO) at least they can be funny.
But everyone else has a lot goin’ on, they’re complex and entertaining.
Now that I think about it, everyone’s kinda duplicitous. They’re all trying to trick someone else, or play a role.
That being said, it is hard not to think about. It even has those side wipe transitions old George loves using so much.
Regardless, it’s a BIG movie, there’s BIG environments, BIG setpieces full of a gazillion extras, it does a good job of making the world feel alive and bustling.
Saw the Hidden Fortress.
Pretty great. Most people only know it as “The Movie that influenced Star Wars,” which is a tad unfortunate.
Because it is a really cool movie that deserves to be recognized on its own merits.
I mean the guy on the Superman cover is one of the crooks that was in the car in the story in the book
