He asked for Lucanis's help, he needed to leave the estate for at least an hour, because he was terribly bored and he needed some fresh air. Lucanis helped, but when they returned home Illario was waiting for them at the door like this:
He was afraid Marcus would trip and fall in the garden, he didn't like him going there. Then he didn't like him going downstairs, because the stairs are dangerous. Marcus didn't want to be treated like as if he is made of porcelain, or as if he is sick.
Then he had to say goodbye to carriage rides, visiting his parents in Minrathous. It was too risky and uncomfortable, the healers advised against it. He accepted it. But then Illario became even more insufferable.
It was already a hard time for Marcus, gradually losing his freedom and eventually becoming a prisoner at his own home. First, he had to give up on traveling on horseback.

When Marcus was pregnant, Illario became increasingly more and more overprotective and overdramatic. Poor Illario. When he hates his family, it's wrong. When he loves his family, it's wrong. But he was truly annoying.

No, but Illario is allergic to a few flowers. Neither of them knew until Illario decided to find some nice flowers for Marcus in the woods, then came home with a swollen face, claiming nothing is wrong. Marcus accepted the flowers but felt terrible about it. Poor Illario.
