Some of these took a while to pick, especially overrated (I just picked what I'm sick of hearing about right now). Honestly, picking top favourites is difficult for me because I don't have all-time tip favourites so much as I have a selection of favourites, with very few exceptions.

It's really interesting that War of The Worlds, the book, was written so that the Martians fought humans on a theoretically even plane. They were an enemy that 1890's era England could fight and be evenly matched against. This movie was the first to show we'd actually have no chance against them.

Tonight's viewing! Saw a video earlier that got me in the mood for my favourite 50's sci-fi flick. There's actually quite a few scenes in this that are eerie and creepy, even with all of the tropes of the era.
