Also, this was a chatbot fail, and an agent via chat win.
The internet company is sending me a new router. Mine is at least 3 years old. If there could be a microchip shortage, I needed to get a new "ring that rules them all" while I can!

Tiny goats in tiny coats will boing away your Sunday sads.
In between glistening, shirtless crunches and sexy dalliances, Crown’s motives become clearer. He wants to retrieve precious artifacts misappropriated, stolen or sold over the centuries from their rightful creators — not the 1% monsters who buy and trade history and human lives. “I didn’t want a reboot. I wanted a reimagination. The first two films were about rich white guys stealing for fun. That doesn’t land today,” Jordan told Variety in November. “Ours is more personal. The stakes are higher. Still got the fashion, romance.”
I am excited for the Michael B Jordan's Thomas Crown Affair, and the movie is going to stand on its own and be its own thing regardless, but this really jumped out at me in recent coverage. That's a more significant deviation from the 1999 film than it looks like.

NBC News chief data analyst Steve Kornacki breaks down a new NBC News Decision Desk poll for Meet the Press showing Americans are evenly divided in their sympathies between Israelis and Palestinians, while three-quarters of Gen Z respondents say they sympathize more with Palestinians.
I watched two movies today: Crime 101 and August Osage County.
Osage County was emotionally the more violent of the two.
I sincerely cannot recommend this book enough. I've read it four or five times and now I want to read it again! It's too good.

YouTube video thumbnail with a skyline of Chicago and text that reads "RCV for Chicago" alongside larger text that reads: "Did you miss our Statewide Meeting? The recording is now on YouTube! Click the link in bio to watch!"
Missed our Statewide Meeting? Watch the recording on YT (43 mins): www.youtube.com/watch?v=g1Cf...
This was our largest statewide mtg ever, with >110 people joining us from across IL! Thanks to all who came out to hear about our new strategic plan to bring RCV to Chicago!

I have a friend who is having a medical issue now and I suspect will be in debt until he dies.
The number one cause of personal bankruptcy is medical debt.
Insurance companies are very profitable. Some of the profit is hidden in the massive compensation paid out to corporate executives.
Explain to me how we cannot afford to have single payer healthcare.
Seriously, OK and AL both adopted privacy bills this year. IN and IA already have them. 20+ states ... it isn't like corporations would have to do much to comply -- just add IL to the list of states where they accept RIGHT TO DELETE and other data subject rights requests.
Love that businesses are choosing IL.
But one area where IL is failing its residents is enacting a privacy law to protect our personal data. Can you please support Sue Rezin's data privacy act to get it passed THIS YEAR? There is still time. Most corporations are complying for other states.
We already KNOW how to make super babies, you eugenicist creeps! And it's all the things you fucking fucks are fucking up! THREAD!
I am continuing to focus on reading the books about writing that I have bought but never read.
Today I am starting "Writing Romances", which has a copyright year of 1997.
I suspect the chapters on publicity and networking might be worth skimming, if only for the laugh on how times have changed.
A lot of what has gone wrong is that we have just stopped passing laws, especially laws that would prevent someone from making money in some way.
Yep, someone's messing with the algorithm on Insta.
Now I've started getting "modest" clothing ads.

The new actor was ...fine... but I miss Cavill.
This is about West Sub’s *River Forest* location only.
“Insight has nothing to do with claims of a clinic reopening at West Suburban Medical Center in Oak Park… or any efforts to restart hospital services there.”
Ever since The English Patient was turned into a movie and they didn't understand the main point and main character of the book, I never expect adaptations to be faithful.
I also don't read the book if I know that a movie/tv adaptation is in the works; I'll read it afterward.
Now that I've read "The Witcher" books (at least those published by the time the tv series was created), I've decided that S2 of the show is complete fan fiction, but S1 and S3 -- well everyone who screams about how the show MUST or DIDN'T follow the books just missed enjoying both.
