5 years ago today George Floyd was murdered. I recently experienced the place where it happened, Minneapolis. Riveting, and oh so real. We walked the area remembering, sharing the deep pain the community continues to live with, and acknowledging how little - if anything - has meaningfully changed.

What a nice surprise! The Blair High School Silverchips newspaper came in the mail today. It includes a wonderful interview of Councilmember Evan Glass. The student reporters asked excellent questions.

This is hilarious! As a practicing Catholic - I am practicing but ain't got it quite right yet - I find this a refreshing levity in good taste on a serious topic. Worth sharing. Amen.

Keeping it local. Started the day with the Rotary Club at Fenton Cafe, with a guest speaker from the Silver Spring Village, and ended it at All Set Restaurant celebrating their 10th Anniversary in the community with friends - and enjoying their special $10 menu this weekend.
