Just a bunch of people who've convinced themselves that getting angry is the point. That acting and speaking on your base, trigger-happy instincts and emotions is good for you. That feeling bad is unavoidable, so why not make others feel bad too? I want out.

But I've slowly realized that the level of hatred and vitriol there is unique to itself. I'm trying to cut it out of my life. Like a tumor. And after all the posts about how Bluesky is cringe and lame, it feels like leaving a friend group of mean kids at school.

I've finally deleted Twitter off my phone in an effort to call it quits from the platform. I think today's level of discourse and in-fighting hit a peak. I've stayed on it as a lurker cuz I told myself it still defined mass internet culture. That it's important to stay up-to-date.
