*gasp*
I could stare at this Raymond panel for hours.
2016 was hell for fans of cool celebrities.
He's a "character" - he can't ever die.
Wow. When you compare it to the elegant Saul Bass-inspired titles of the show, that is a supremely shitty cover.
Kate Box and Tim Minchin in Upright season 1.
Kate Box was amazing as a gang boss cheerfully terrorising Tim Minchin in the first season of Upright (also highly recommended).
Madeleine Sami and Kate Box from Deadloch season 2.
Finished Deadloch S2 last night - god, this show is such a joyous, foul-mouthed romp through Aussie culture. Madeleine Sami and Kate Box are hilarious. Really hope there's more to come.
Scrolling down, I thought for a second that was Mandelson himself on the left, and I'm still not sure it isn't.

The answer is: "not very". Unsurprisingly, Kirby has a confident grasp of everyone's speech patterns and characterisations. It's obviously not Stan Lee dialogue but it's undeniably still the FF. 2/2

Amazing Adventures #1-2 (1970) gives us an insight into how different Fantastic Four would have been if Jack Kirby had been allowed to write the dialogue as well as the plots. 1/2

Philomena Cunk visits the Streamberry offices.
Re-watched the wonderful Cunk on Life last night. I hadn't realised it featured the Netflix stand-in Streamberry which appears in the terrific 'Joan is Awful' episode of Black Mirror. I kind of want to see Philomena appear in Black Mirror now.

Imagine driving along and seeing Sophie Ellis-Bextor coming the other way and you have a second to think, "Hey, that's Sophie Ellis-Bextor," and she gives you a "Yes, that's right, I'm Sophie Ellis-Bextor" look.
Anytime I hear somebody say, "Comics is a visual medium!" I always think, "Well, you're *half* right."
A panel from Batman #48. Batman offers a crook an antidote and says, "Drink this... It will save you... for the electric chair!" Story by Bill Finger, art by Jim Mooney.
"Heh... You mean *from* the electric chair, right, Batman?"
"Batman...?"
Detective Comics #251 cover. Vicki Vale is shocked to see Batman without his mask off, revealing an alien face. He is greeting another alien who is stepping out of a flying saucer. Art by Sheldon Moldoff.
This explains EVERYTHING
The Doctor and Ruby Sunday are in the foreground. They are turning, shocked, to see the Fugitive Doctor in the background holding a rifle. She is framed by a semi-circular window revealing a blazing sun in the distance. Art by Scott Gray.

A figure appears in silhouette at the top of some stone steps carrying a large metal bin. Another figure in a hat and trenchcoat below says, "That's him, gal! Let's move..." Art by Frank Robbins.

Cybermen and Davros illustrations by Scott Gray, divided by about 30 years.
A message for all artists who are despondent and/or pissed off about their current ability:
Just keep going. You *will* get better.
Mr Fantastic is carrying the Invisible Girl while Crystal, the Human Torch and the Thing look on. Art by Jack Kirby and Frank Giacoia.
Things That Have Always Annoyed Scott #834: the credits in Fantastic Four Special #5. There's a mistake. Joe Sinnott didn't ink this story; Frank Giacoia did.
But every single reprint from 1967 to 2025 has continued to print this page with the miscredit. 1/2

I storyboarded some of The Underwater Menace animated special, and I've just remembered my favourite line in the story.
I love how completely in-universe this is. No doubt after dealing with Lord Ffogg, Batman was asked by the Londininium authorities to make a road safety film for British children. What a swell guy!

I love the way it turns into a kids movie at the end. Hilarious!

Hey artists, if you see this, post a dog
Yeah, it's a real standout, even for him.
