Not convinced I have managed to catch all the posts so far, apologies if I have missed any. Skyfeed seems unresponsive for me so it has been refresh, refresh, refresh. Highly enjoyable gardening discussion today, thank you @carolstephen.bsky.social #DigiBlogChat

Genoa was interesting for us. We drove there from Milan having determined that car hire was cheaper there, and we drove the elevated autostrada section that collapsed tragically. Breathtaking scenery, slightly hairy bends when all you can see is treetops no obvious terra firma. #DigiBlogChat

If I were younger I would be tempted, there are conditions depending where you look to buy, things like spending a minimum amount of money on restoration and being in-country for a minimum time too. #DigiBlogChat

Evening Maricar. It's got potential if I fall foul of Mrs M at any point. ๐Ÿ˜†#DigiBlogChat

It's a kit, the instructions are fun (not) but it does expedite the effort a touch. I'm sure you would nail it no trouble Carol. #DigiBlogChat

Not just Italy but right across Europe. a house for one Euro. Essentially, there are locations where the young have left to find work and the building lie empty and communities are at risk. Local politicians see these schemes as a way of revitalising support to the elderly as well #DigiBlogChat

Not this time Carol but it is a great place. Only cities not visited in Italy are Turin and Trieste, there is so much to see and appreciate it lures me back time and again. Don't be surprised if I retire there! #DigiBlogChat

A9. We have a lavendar border which is nice, and we spend more time trying to understand what is good for our bees so we can do more, but we have a way to go yet. We put nuts and bird food out for the smaller birds #DigiBlogChat

Q9. How have you made your garden attractive to birds and bees? #DigiBlogChat

10 hours ago 1 1 1 1

Yes, top end of one side in the back garden. Just building a log cabin at the lower part of the new patio kitchen area you may recall from Facebook pics last year and then I have one corner to "improve" and add structure too over the summer. #DigiBlogChat

A8: If I were generating a garden from scratch, Iโ€™d prioritise soil health and try to create a nutrient-rich, well-drained soil. I'd do more research into plants and soil suitability and look to create a tapestry of colours for all seasons. #DigiBlogChat

A6. A masterpiece needs a good canvas right? Creating a structure to really showcase some of the plants, shrubs and flowers is well worth the effort in my humble view. #DigiBlogChat

Maybe not exotic, possibly a hybrid of an animal and a vegetable depending where in Somerset you encounter said Worzel. #DigiBlogChat

A5: Mulch is your firewall against weeds! A thick layer of organic mulch prevents weed seeds from getting the sunlight they need to germinate. For the few bugs (weeds) that sneak through the system, pull them by hand when they are young and the soil is damp. #DigiBlogChat

A5. We either pull or mow weeds here. Weeds need to be kept low to help prevent fires from spreading into the canopy of trees. We're prone to wildfires in California, as you may have heard. #DigiBlogChat
