It is the night of the winter solstice, and all of Askr seems to sleep underneath a blanket of snow. The sky is clear, the stars shining brightly. Though activity has slowed to an almost halt throughout the kingdom, soft light glows from within the castle. Inside the bedchamber of the king and queen, the fireplace burns with a blazing warmth and it gives the whole room a cozy atmosphere. A healer is carefully packing up their belongings to leave. Sweet singing comes from the direction of the large bed in the room's center. Chika holds a small bundle, wrapped in a thick woven blanket that glimmers like starlight, close to her chest. Sitting atop the comfortable mattress directly beside his queen, Alfonse watches fondly as Chika continues to sing a lullaby Peony taught her after Breida was born.

She also watches, golden eyes wide with curiosity as her chin rests on her mother's shoulder. Just as she promised on the day of Eira's arrival, Breida has also promised to always look after her new baby brother, who continues to sleep peacefully, lulled by Chika's gentle voice. Eira has also dozed off, clinging to Alfonse's nightshirt with her small hands. He keeps the little princess steady with an arm wrapped around her as she sleeps. Chika's song eventually ends, and she carefully presses a kiss to the newborn prince's head, which is covered by fuzzy dark blue hair with tiny tufts of blonde. It is her turn to name their newest bundle of joy, though she hadn't thought of a suitable one until that very moment, when she happens to see a shooting star through the balcony window.

"... Stellan," Chika whispers. She looks back to their son, who makes a few little noises, but continues to sleep on without interruption. "For the brightest stars that shine on, even during the longest night." "Stellan Lífsson," Alfonse says, just as quietly. "We welcome you into our family with all the love stored in our hearts.
