Weeklong trip with my Scouting America Troop to BWCA. There are not enough words to describe the beauty here.

MTB ride this morning, but on the way to the trail I encountered these lovely ladies laying their eggs.
Fetch the keg ride was at a party pace with a group of about 20 riders with a singular focus of retrieving a keg of beer from Hop Garden in Paoli and bringing back to Madison for the Friday party at Brittingham Park.
More Bike to Work Week: Bratcakes! Thanks to Saris for sponsoring this sweet and savory delight.
Bike to work week in Madison and this morning’s stop had savory bacon and cheese waffles and a latte to wash them all down. Even got to ride the smallest bike I’ve ever ridden. Thanks to @wibikefed.bsky.social
Fun day of racing at Camrock today. I'm finding the comp level much more challenging than sport for certain, but it's Type II fun which makes it much more enjoyable to remember while sharing a beer with a fellow racer. Cheers @optimizer.bsky.social!
Spent Friday riding my first century from Madison to Viroqua, WI. Spent Saturday riding 123 miles back to Madison. Saw great varieties in scenery, road surfaces, and elevation. Would certainly do it again.
For the May Outing scouts canoed the Madison chain of lakes on the Yahara water shed in preparation for our High Adventure in the Boundary Waters later this year. Check out the little reel we put together!
Can you canoe? Troop 104 scouts can!
Robert Prevost is his dead name. Get it?
Today was not about speed or technical features, just gaining more single track time on a beautiful morning.
Managed to place 9th out of 17 in my age group, and 38th overall for the category. I'll take that for a race where I was having more fun than actual racing. Thanks to @optimizer.bsky.social for nudging me into this category. It was a blast.
Start of the MTB race season today with the Englewood Open. Held on an active family farm, I pre-rode the course yesterday, and with all the rain we've had in WI, there will be some slop. #MudPies&CowPies
Race season is here. I feel very unprepared this year and a little nervous as I move to a new category. www.trekbikes.com/us/en_US/wors/
Yup. I've seen the same level of crickets from some of my "friends" on other platforms, though I doubt they will acknowledge that this is their fault.
Last day of riding #BetonvilleMTB - this one was the bottom-half of Tunnel Vision where we did roughly 18 miles with 2,200 feet of elevation gain and rain to end the last 5 miles. Still fun as hell.
20 miles of MTB riding yesterday and I nearly forgot to take out the Trash. #BentonvilleMTB www.instagram.com/eattrashicec...
Choo Choo at night. (Yes, the trail glows at night) #BentonvilleMTB
Who does road riding in Bentonville? That would be us. Great scenery once you get out of town.
10 hours in the truck to get here, but so, so worth it.
Made a lot of camping, biking, and diving memories with the old Taco, but $7k in repairs for at 17-yo truck was too much. Time for an upgrade.
Kids have no school today, so we’re trying to make the best of it.
Spent the weekend with a scout troop 104 in northern Wisconsin. Not enough of the white stuff to sleep in snow shelters this year but we still had some fun hiking, fishing, sledding, gaming, and cooking.
50º in late January? Hell yeah I'm gonna go for an outdoor ride. This now completes a first-time record for me: Doing at least one, longer, non-commuting ride every month for the past 12 months.
A few of us MTB coaches were thinking of road riding this Thursday with temps approaching 50º, but the wind gusts will but close to 25mph. Nope.
I think I'll be cleaning the commuter bike this weekend.
It’s a little chilly in the office today.
