These are awesome! Are these all from your phone, or do you have another camera set-up?
A pigeon flying in a sky with little puffy white clouds. There’s the top of a building on the bottom right of the image
"expanding consciousness" meme: 1. Frankenstein created a monster 2. Frankenstein was the real monster 3. Frankenstein and his creation are *both* tragically flawed 4. Captain Walton made the whole thing up because he couldn't admit to his sister that he failed to find the Northwest Passage

An abstract figure in black, with a CRT effect illuminating a broken image icon where a face would be. The figure wears two different sized crowns and in the orange-y red background the text "fool of the web, king of nothing" is repeatedly written.
Fool of the web,
King of nothing.
A concept that came to me when my internet dropped, and images on a website refused to load ... and ye, my brain just kinda hyperfixated on the concept of the broken image icon.

Just more proof that consulting is a fake-ass job.
I really believe that nobody else has ever made anything “Lynchian” because Lynch’s stuff comes from such a personal and introspective place and anyone else doing that would make something unique to them, the same way Lynch made stuff unique to him. So it would be completely different.
When people say Lynchian or whatever it's always the strobe lights and the surrealism and the whooshing ambient dread, and never that scene in Twin Peaks when Ben and Jerry excitedly eat too much bread and deliver their dialogue through gobs of gluten
I've cleaned up my personal website to make it easier to navigate and updated it with more recent clients and their projects.

Man, the NYC subreddit has the worst comments sections. Some of the most rancid politics ever.
Or when you stay awake to ungodly hours anyway.

If only 3rd-grade me knew what irony and trolling was in 2001.
On a lighter note, in the weeks after 9/11 a classmate of mine said that he was in one of the planes that hit the towers, and I told him that was impossible but he assured me he had parachuted out just in time to make it to school.
I was fuming at the time, but in retrospect that was pretty funny.
Honestly I don’t think I really started deconstructing things in my own terms until a few years later…definitely once I was in high school, but maybe even earlier. It’s weird to admit it, but I think Green Day’s “American Idiot” really incited a lot of that initial introspection.
That might be a benign way of putting it, but the paradigm shift was palpable. I’m glad my immediate family was center-left-leaning (at least by typical US standards) so I wasn’t completely propagandized into blind patriotism, but the sway of the zeitgeist is hard to ignore.
I was in the 3rd grade. At the time I didn’t really understand news and politics (or even history) as a concept outside of some abstract thing that buzzed along in the background of everyday life. Needless to say, after that day the buzz definitely got louder and harder to avoid.
For those in the US, the correct position is to be anti-war and anti-imperialist.
The US does not have the right to conduct regime change to either destroy the country or install a puppet.
If US sanctions / war are constantly on the neck of the Iranian people, how can they ever achieve freedom.
…and that’s seen grassroots movements and community organizing take hold something fierce. I don’t think that gives us rose-tinted glasses but that does give us a tempered sense of hope, which is sort of a radical act when everything else convinces you to *not* be like that.
Thankfully, however, I think most millennials have taken this like Truman in that they ultimately chose proactive enlightenment as their guiding principle rather than just resigned doomerism and conspiratorial psychosis (though there’s a little bit of that in there, too, for a healthy balance)…
When you realize there are more Christian Zionists in the country (if not the world) than Jewish Zionists, and consider America’s evangelical zealotry on the whole, a *lot* of things start clicking into place.
there are a lot of people working in the government right now who want to intentionally trigger an apocalypse to create the conditions for the return of jesus christ and I know how crazy that sounds but its absolutely true
