Research Technician in Circadian Immunology:Oxford Road Applications are invited for a full-time Research Technician to join the Gibbs lab within the Centre for Biological Timing at the University of Manchester. This 3-year MRC funded project takes an integrated approach across murine models and human samples to discover how glucocorticoid hormones direct the anti-inflammatory potential of a specialised subset of immune cells called regulatory T cells (Tregs).

Reward as drive reduction, the return!

This opinion piece on the explanatory and unifying power of the homeostatic reinforcement learning framework is amazingly accessible, despite its technical nature, and extremely insightful 👏

Four pivotal ages in your brain's development revealed in new scientific study Brain scans on thousands of people reveal the dramatic shifts the brain goes through between birth and death.

The human brain goes through distinct phases in life, with turning points at ages 9, 32, 66 & 83, scientists have revealed.

~4,000 people up to the age of 90 had scans to reveal the connections between their brain cells.

We "peak" in our early 30s ...
