I'm 90% sure I understood this headline correctly, but just in case, I remain compelled to ask, what is Wolf Law? Why has no one ever told me that was a thing I could study? Are there wolf lawyers? Do they wear suits? Or is it law governing wolves? 🐺

This looks fascinating. I'll have to look into this more. I love a good ARPG.

Amazon Luna is removing any 3rd-party subscription based games from its service. You won't be able to buy them, or even play them in a few months. No refunds.

Didn't Jordan Mechner videotape his brother "going through the motions" in order to rotoscope and animate The Prince?

"Okay, today, I want to videotape you falling onto some spikes. On 3. One, t-" *push*

They must have had an interesting relationship.

Wait, what's this about a creepy mysterious hole in the wall? It sounds like your basement has its own urban legend or creepy pasta about it.

Was there ever a Final Fantasy class that blended black and white magery, but without the fighting power of a Red Mage?

How did the N64 become a collectable commodity? Why so many colors? Consoles are expensive. I certainly didn't have money to buy one, let alone a rainbow set. Who did it first, Nintendo, or the iMac?

Accidentally?

French toast. Eggs and bread. That's all it is. Yet, when I think of French and bread, I think of a baguette. Has anyone ever seen a baguette turned into French toast? Has anyone ever made French French toast?

Extra credit: What about a French waffle?

Having been homeless in LA for a spell, Picard season 2 hit pretty close to home, at points. That might be why it's my favorite.

I remember these. I also had one for Buick. I was <5 years old at the time. I'm not sure what the point of these was. Was this somehow meant to simulate the Ford experience? How? It impressed a 5-year old. But, did it impress anyone with actual car purchasing power?

I have to know. There was a Darkwing Duck villain minotaur named Taurus Bulba. I didn't know it was a reference to anything, but now- I have to know!

I don't have the words for the joy I feel in the way you bring each character to life.

Hot Figgins! That's an incredible complete costume! I just watched that Fiverr video yesterday! That first person definitely deserves to raise their prices.

I thought about jumping on the digital assistant bandwagon, once. I haven't pulled the trigger on anything yet. The most interesting choice I read about was a completely open source assistant named Mycroft. So it's unaffiliated with Amazon, Google, or Microsoft.

@wayforward.bsky.social When is original GBC Shantae coming to PC? I already own the Steam & GOG ones. I even dreamed I owned the kart racer, Shantae & the Highway, the beat 'em ups Tassel Town Beatdown & Risky City Rampage, your collab w/ Rare, Shantae 64, & the 1-on-1 fighter Shante-kken.

Back in the days of when these magazines & guides were first published, video games were a hobby likely to attract ridicule. "Kids' stuff." Being a kid is hard. So seeing all the work, all the art, all the writing, felt validating. It was geek, tech, gaming representation and celebration!

Can you recite the English alphabet yet? 'W' can be tricky after a numbing visit to the dentist. That's how I always judged if I was fully recovered yet.

What did you order? Did you order enough for the person you picked up? Did someone poach/steal the order? Was it ever made? Was it sitting there unclaimed for an hour? Did you have the receipt? Maybe the guy you picked up could pay for the meal, since you did go out of your way to pick them up.

I remember seeing Mark Weiner on TV, a few times, on one of those variety comedy shows. I was so surprised and happy when he broke big on Nickelodeon. As a tiny kid, I loved his schtick. I'd love to see some of it, again.

NES Bible Adventures & King of Kings has you escorting & carrying your family, animals, & a baby throughout the game.

But my favorite escort quest involved carrying my entire team in my old pro Counter-Strike v1.6 days.

Wing Commander meets Zelda? I haven't played a Wing Commander yet. Some of the best and most memorable games blend genres. So, I'm intrigued! Wishlisted!

"old, overlooked games and realizing how many good ideas they had"

I'm mystified by the amount of high praise Doom 2016 got for its innovative glory kill system where executed demons explode in a health & ammo fountain.

I greatly enjoyed Duke Nukem Forever(2011). Same feature. No one said a thing.
