It was wonderful to speak for a few minutes and grab a photo! I forgot most of what I was going to say at the time, but: your talk was great in just the same way you are - genuine and heartfelt. I'm a games writer now and one of the first steps in that journey was playing Curse. Thank you again!

Layoffs always suck but to see people Iโve looked up to for years - who wrote, animated, edited, and brought to life so many stories and characters I love - hurts.
BioWare devs, thank you for bringing wonder, compassion, intrigue, and magic to millions of fans, me included. Weโre all in your corner
5 tongue-in-cheek game writing exercises that are a more realistic representation of what most game writers do (in my experience) than a branching dialog tree:
In case you missed this yesterday - this project is incredibly important and dear to me. The developer, @rasheedabueideh.bsky.social, is potentially in danger for insisting on making this game, but he refuses to back down because backing down would mean not telling this story.
Dorian, as he appeared in-game. This was the work of U Ri So, a character artist from Korea who'd just started at the time - Dorian and Cullen were her first big tasks, and boy oh boy did she knock it out of the park.
The reveal poster for Dorian, shows him casting a spell with a snowy wilderness and ruin background. I kind of love that he got the same staff here that Orsino had in DA2, which the writers referred to as "the Staff of Violation". For reasons unknown.
A screenshot from one of the Dorian romance scenes, with Dorian resting his head on the player's shoulder. At the end game, I think? So cute. I think this was Sarah Hayward's cinematic work? She did such a great job, and was so committed to doing the translation of story to screen justice.
CHARACTERS - Day Eight: Dorian
Now this is a fun one. It's no big secret I have a lot of feelings about Dorian, not least of which because he was my first (and only) gay male companion. There's a lot more to him than that, of course (as there should be), and it was quite a trip. So let's go!
Oooh super useful, thank you!
OK, I caved to peer pressure! I made it here!
I'm Lydia, I've been writing & designing for games for 6+ years (my biggest project to date being Dead Island 2 ๐งโโ๏ธ). Looking forward to watching on with awe/horror as this community is painfully re-birthed away from The Site We Shall Not Name!!
